“We had such a wonderful experience with Anthony from beginning to end. He was incredibly responsive, always replied quickly, and communication was clear and easy throughout the entire process. What impressed me right away was how much thought he put into creating a menu specifically for our group. He sent a very detailed survey to understand everyone’s tastes, preferences, dietary needs, and even the little things people loved or didn’t love. He then worked closely with me as the host to refine the menu until it felt exactly right for the evening. You can also tell that Anthony really cares about his ingredients. He thoughtfully sources them from specialty purveyors and places he trusts, choosing ingredients based on quality rather than simply buying everything from one place. That attention to detail really came through in the food. He also helped me think through the setup and how the dinner would flow, which made hosting so much easier. On the day of the dinner, he arrived on time, completely prepared, and everything came together beautifully. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was happy, and the presentation was gorgeous. I also loved that Anthony explained the dishes, the ingredients, and how certain things were prepared as he served them. It made the dinner feel interactive and educational without ever feeling formal or forced. Another thing I really appreciated was how naturally he connected with everyone. We had a mix of different personalities and guests, and Anthony was warm, engaging, and comfortable with everyone. He knew when to interact with the group and when to let us enjoy the evening. It felt like much more than having someone come in and cook dinner. From the personalized menu and carefully sourced ingredients to the presentation and interaction with our guests, Anthony created an entire experience for us. I would absolutely recommend him for a private dinner or special occasion. Our guests loved the food, and I was extremely happy with the entire experience.”

“We hired Mike Betts as a Personal Chef to cook a birthday meal for my son's 21st birthday at our home in Arlington MA. What made this tricky was that my two boys and I are all avid cooks and the whole family is a foodie family. We had a total of 8 guests and the menu was completely customized. It was our first time hiring a personal chef and Mike made the experience delightful for all of us. Weeks prior to the event, my son and I worked closely with Mike on a fairly complex menu and Mike delivered!! The menu included: Grilled shrimp with fried leeks Tomato basil soup shots Wagyu beef on chimmichurri Grilled Short rib Hamachi crudo with grapefruits and radish Cucumber cups with tuna and salmon Tuna on crispy rice Matcha Creme Brulee Amazing menu delivered to perfection -everything was delicious. But what made this even more special was a) Mike's attitude, (he connected with every person in our group, he let my son cook with him, taught him how to cook wagyu, and showed an amazing combination of friendliness and professionalism) and; b) all the little extras he brought to the party - small bottles of his home made sauces, a beautiful platter of fresh fruits, and much more. Amazing experience all around - and I would welcome Mike back to cook for us any day!!”
