EXAMPLE INTRODUCTIONS My focus is quality. I never cut corners, even when it's more expensive. Some of my competitors are cheaper, but I will take the time to make sure you're 100% happy.
Lola S. says, “Did an awesome job repairing my front door and installing new bathroom toilet paper holder and towel rack thank you!”
Raheela G. says, “I hired this handyman through Thumbtack to install outdoor Govee lights. My request clearly stated that I needed outdoor lights installed, and he accepted the job with a two-hour minimum. When he arrived, I specifically explained that I wanted all the lights securely screwed into place rather than relying on the adhesive backing. The lights came with screws, and I made this request more than once because I wanted a permanent, secure installation that would hold up outdoors. Unfortunately, he repeatedly disregarded my instructions. He insisted that the adhesive stickers were sufficient because the lights were designed for outdoor use. I explained again that I preferred the lights to be screwed in to prevent them from coming loose. When he went onto the roof to install the arch, I specifically reminded him once again to screw the lights in securely. He assured me he would do so. Instead, without asking for my permission or approval, he used his own staples to secure portions of the installation. I was never asked whether I approved of this alternative method, especially since the lights came with the appropriate screws. The results are extremely disappointing. As you can see in the attached pictures, the installation looks unprofessional, messy, and poorly executed. The lights are uneven, all over the place, and some of the lower lights that he simply stuck on without securing with screws are already coming loose and hanging down. We paid $75 per hour in cash for four hours of work, in addition to being charged for staples that we never approved or authorized him to use. For that amount of money, I expected professional workmanship, attention to detail, and, most importantly, someone who would listen to and follow the customer’s instructions. Communication was also challenging, as we had to repeatedly use translation to explain what we wanted. I have absolutely no issue giving someone an opportunity to earn a living, but I also expect to receive the quality of work I am paying for. At this point, I am left having to either redo the installation myself or pay someone else to correct his work. That is completely unacceptable after already paying for four hours of service. I would not recommend this handyman based on my experience. He did not follow clear instructions, made unauthorized decisions about how to complete the installation, and left us with a result that does not meet even basic expectations for professional workmanship. I have attached pictures so you can see the condition of the installation for yourselves. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and believe a refund or appropriate compensation is warranted. I am asking for 50% refund. Handyman return on Sunday to fix the lights. Thank you”
Yanosh Y. says, “We had a leak coming in under the door, and my wife was really stressed about it. The floors started to warp, and we were concerned about mold. Valera came out, found the source of the problem right away turns out there was almost a hole straight through the wall under the baseboard. I would have never noticed that myself. He fixed everything efficiently and properly. I’m very glad I called him when I did, before it turned into a much bigger issue. Everything was done the right way, and I’m really satisfied with the result.”
Yassmin E. says, “He assembled my bed, vanity, and installed my new curtains quickly and carefully. Very professional work”
Elisha S. says, “I had some garage shelves purchased from Amazon and he installed them exactly the way I requested. The wall studs in my garage are not evenly spaced but he still managed to make everything look clean and of course, sturdy. Very happy with the results and would 100% use Cortex Works again.”
Krista B. says, “Isaac did a great job installing our patio lights. We love them! He was very punctual, professional and friendly. His pricing is great as well. We would certainly hire him again for future projects.”
Lisa P says, “My husband and I are so happy that we found them to install and take down our Christmas lights. We have discussed doing permanent lighting and Collective Contracting Co. will be the company we use.If you are thinking about lights for Christmas, or any holiday, use this company!!”
Olivia W. says, “Hauled away the old dishwasher and installed the new. Thanks!”
