“We recently hired Leo from LR Finish Carpentry to complete a challenging stair project in a 70-year-old home we just bought and are renovating. We decided to open the walls on the narrow staircase so more light could pass through the main floor —we took walls down and were left with a floating staircase in the middle of the entryway with no sides or base. It was a tricky situation, and I had three different companies come out to look at it. From the first visit, Leo stood out as the most detailed and knowledgeable by far. He walked through the space, pointed out numerous things I needed to consider, offered creative ideas, and even told me exactly what materials I would need if I chose to buy them myself. He was incredibly patient and sat with me at the computer to make sure I fully understood the requirements—whether I hired him or not. His goal was clearly to protect me from anyone trying to take advantage. That level of honesty and transparency immediately earned my trust. When the quotes came back, Leo’s pricing was significantly better than the other two companies (which were far more expensive). I decided to order the materials myself to try to save a little more, but that ended up causing multiple delivery delays. Leo was extremely patient throughout, checking in every few days without any pressure. Once everything finally arrived, he came out and completed the entire staircase installation in just one day. Leo’s attention to detail is exceptional. Given the age of the house, measurements were a real challenge. He noticed that the base of the walls we had taken down were off by about 5/16 of an inch, which meant the balusters wouldn’t appear perfectly in line from every angle. As someone who is hyper-detailed (a pain in the ass, frankly), I never would have noticed it and even after he explained it I still can’t notice it - as he is a master with measurements. His craftsmanship on the handrail, especially the incredible mitering work, is absolutely jaw-dropping. He was meticulous, suggested smart adjustments to ensure everything would pass code inspections without issues, and he knows the building code inside and out. The finished stairs exceed my expectations in every way. The quality is outstanding, and everyone who sees them comments on how beautiful the craftsmanship is. I highly recommend LR Finish Carpentry and Leo specifically. If you want quality work from someone honest, skilled, and truly professional, look no further. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Professional, Fast, and Top Work! We recently hired NJ Gold Star Construction for a complete deck refurbish, and they knocked it out of the park. Edgar, the owner, was easy to work with—professional and clear with communication. Donald was the lead on-site, managing a dedicated crew of 4 guys who showed up every single day ready to work. They completed this massive 7-day job ahead of schedule, and the attention to detail is exceptional. The quality of the Trex Clam Shell flooring with its custom "picture-frame" border, the crisp white vinyl railings with custom flat caps, and the clean finish on the stairs looks incredible. They even seamlessly replaced a rotting kitchen window overlooking the deck as part of the project. The team kept the workspace tidy, respected our property, and delivered master-level building. If you want a crew that takes genuine pride in their carpentry and delivers a premium result, look no further than Edgar, Donald, and the NJ Gold Star team!”

“I hired Boltt General Contractor for a shelving project in my laundry room that turned out to be considerably more complicated and time-consuming than either of us expected. What impressed me most was Oral’s dedication to getting the job done properly. He stayed longer than planned, made a trip to the store for supplies we needed, and never once complained about the extra time or unexpected challenges. He was resourceful, patient, and determined to find a solution when things didn’t go exactly as planned. He also repaired the holes that had to be made during the process, so I wasn’t left with any cleanup or unfinished work. The finished shelving looks great and functions exactly the way I wanted it to. I really appreciated his professionalism and willingness to stick with the project until it was done right. I would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend him.”
