Tara A. says, “We had a few pauses in my move because the guys moving me (generously) helped another person in my building with a heavy marble table and that took time away from my move. We drove to my new spot and we ran into another issue, there wasn’t anywhere for our truck to unload easily, however the truck in our way actually was movers123 on a different job. They told us they were finishing up soon and that’s when my guys started to help with that person, not affiliated with me, move their stuff while the clock is ticking for my move. We finish up and I go to settle the bill and I was shocked when I was given a $605 bill. I knew we had gone over the 2 hour mark but I noticed I was charged for 4 men, $55 per hour for the truck. We ended up agreeing to settle at $500 but that was still well over my budget. I was not expecting such a difference in price. I also want to add that my parents helped significantly in this process. My dad helped load and move things into the truck and I also ended up wrapping furniture and moving a lot of my belongings independently. I also want to be clear the movers were fantastic people. They were kind, funny, caring and extremely nice to work with. I would hire this company again but I would probably set aside more money to better fit the budget because it was much higher than expected.”
