“The completed landscaping looked beautiful, and he is clearly talented at what he does. Based strictly on the finished result, we understood why his pricing was on the higher side. We were comfortable paying more as long as the quality of the work and the overall experience matched the price. Unfortunately, while the work looked great, the overall experience did not feel worth the $5,000 we paid. During his time, my husband kindly offered him water. He declined and instead told my husband that he wanted a large pizza and a Coca-Cola. We were never informed beforehand that we would be expected to provide lunch for him or his crew. After completing the job, he also expected a tip and was very assertive about receiving the remaining balance in cash. The way these requests were made came across as rude and made both my husband and me extremely uncomfortable. All three of our businesses are in the service industry, so we understand the cost of labor, the importance of paying professionals fairly, and the value of excellent work. We also understand that the customer’s overall experience matters just as much as the finished result. When someone is paying a premium price, the professionalism and service should reflect that as well. The experience also left us feeling as though the price may have been based less on the actual scope of the job and more on the appearance and location of our home. Additionally, cutting the grass was supposed to be included in the $5,000 job, but that portion of the agreed-upon work was never completed. I wish this had simply been a language misunderstanding, but we speak the same language, so communication was not the issue. I recognize that this may have been a rare occurrence, and I appreciate that he apologized after we addressed our concerns. However, this was still our experience, and I believe it is important to share it honestly. I am leaving four stars, which I believe is generous considering the overall experience. I chose four stars because I am a business owner myself and because the work he completed does look beautiful. That being said, we will not be using his services again.”

“JC landscaping responded to me within five minutes. Met me at the property. The next day with an estimate , started the project the following day. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful. He sent me pictures of the pavers that were installed. I met him at the property a few days later what an absolutely magnificent job he did. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend his services.”
