“We originally messaged him about a possible AC unit capacitor failure because our unit had power but the fan would not turn on and the air coming in was slightly cooler than our home. As it turns out, it was not the capacitor! He found a loose wire in the thermostat that caused intermittent failure and a temperature sensor was reading too low, causing coil freezing, low refrigerant pressure, and a few other issues. These were not problems my handy partner would have found. He had ruled out what we originally thought was wrong by testing first, rather than blindly replacing the part, which saved us money and future hassle.
