I had a terrible experience. I had originally called them because the blower fan wouldn’t turn off, but the next day when they came it was functioning properly. They weren’t able to diagnose why that happened but their tech ran tests and my AC was working just fine. He took photos as he was doing everything and he was recommending different services and maintenance I should consider. I decided to have him fix some gaps in the indoor unit in the attic that would’ve been causing some inefficiencies and a general maintenance tune up. He performed the work and left. I never checked the AC to see if it was working right after he left, and neither did the tech. The next week when I went to use the AC it was not working. So I called them and they immediately tried to sell me a new unit saying that mine is old. I requested that a tech come look at it because it was working before he did his work on it. He came out and come to find out the plug for the attic unit was plugged in “halfway.” As soon as he plugged it in everything started working again. He leaves and then I get a call from the company claiming since he “repaired” the unit I owe them $90. I pushed back saying that this was tied to his work previously. They tried to blame it on rats in my attic, saying they chew on the wires and could’ve pulled it out. The wire is not chewed at all, and I had an exterminator come check the attic after he left and there’s no evidence of rodent activity. They also tried to say he left my unit in working order and that there’s photos of him testing it. I told them I was with him the entire time and the photos are from his initial tests. He never retested after he did his work. They claimed there’s timestamps on the photos that show it was after the job. The timestamp is from their service portal and all the photos have the same timestamp because that’s when he uploaded them to there, after he finished. I uploaded screenshots and they all say 10:51. Then they tried to guilt me saying he drove a hour to my house and that gas is expensive and they pay workers compensation. Lastly they said since I refuse to pay they will remove the charge but will be putting me on their “do not service list.”

My time is as valuable as yours. You threaten a fee before we even get a quote for a new system? Bad karma.
Have a reasonable installation price. Stop trying to gouge Americans

I had a very disappointing experience with AARD Mechanical company. They came out to provide an on-site estimate and everything seemed straightforward. I paid a deposit and scheduled the installation. However, on the day of installation, they suddenly told me that they'd have to break open my drywall to fit the unit—something that was never mentioned during the estimate. To make matters worse, they told me I would need a city permit, which would cost an additional $1,800—another surprise. Since the scope had clearly changed, I asked them to install a like-for-like wall heater (lower BTU than quoted), which doesn’t require a permit or drywall work. Instead of working with me on this reasonable request, they abruptly canceled the entire job. This company wasted my time, took my deposit under false pretenses, and showed zero accountability or flexibility when their own assessment turned out to be inaccurate. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a professional or transparent HVAC provider.
Frida was very friendly and considerate of my time. He was not only able to give me a fair estimate but to complete the job same day.
There was miscommunication and I had to cancel. They claimed the worker was turned away and the job was not cancelled. Why would I lie? I reluctantly payed the late cancellation fee but I don’t like being accused of turning anyone away. They are entitled to the late cancellation but don’t accuse me of physically turning away their staff. Thank you.
Allan and Norvel are extremely knowledgeable technicians. They serviced my ac unit and installed a new thermostat. They were respectful of the property, maintained the area clean and wore shoe covers to protect my new floors.
I requested a quote to install 2 Nest Thermostats which I explained I already own. They were responsive, and I wouldn’t have left this negative review if I didn’t feel they were trying to take advantage of others. I received several quotes fairly quickly from other local companies ranging from $75-$140, seemed reasonable. They quoted me between $400-$450, to install 2 Nests. I ended up attempting myself and did both within 15 minutes. Just be cautious when dealing with these folks.
They tried to convince me that parts weren’t available when I had them cutewed up myself very easily on Amazon they wanted to sell me a whole new system even though I told him I was selling my house I just wanted a simple repair very unethical and simple $200 fan motor repair
