Reviews
They were quick, efficient and honest, and did a great job
It was a pleasure working with this provider. We would highly recommend.
Eunice has been working on our house for a couple of months now. What started as a quick paint job in the living room has turned out to be our go-to handy person for everything that needs to be repaired, in every room of the house. There really truly hasn’t been anything that she can’t do, and we’ve thrown a wide variety of jobs at her! Once you find someone highly-skilled who you can trust, why go looking for anyone else?
I was so impressed initially and really wanted to hire Eunice for other projects, but after the first one - there were couple of small things to be fixed- she disappeared on me and would not come back. Truly disappointed as I paid a lot for the initial project and her not coming back to fix some minor things - was not professional.
Great work done! Would definitely hire again. I appreciate the professionalism, communication, and respect for our home!
Drilled Through Our Garage Wall—and Our Brand-New, Freshly Remodeled Shower Tile I don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but after our experience with Absolutely Handy, I feel compelled to share. Mistakes happen—we’re all human—but how a business handles those mistakes makes all the difference. I’ll stick to the facts with a clear timeline of our experience. TL;DR: If you need help with a small or simple project, this company might be fine. But for anything complex, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our Experience: -We hired Absolutely Handy to move our PRX gym, a squat rack system that mounts into the garage wall studs. Since we didn’t have a truck and had other projects underway, hiring a professional made sense. Our request clearly included plate storage and a pull-up bar that also needed to be moved. -We were quoted 7 hours at $110/hour—on the higher end for handyman services, but reasonable for a more complex job. Eunice mentioned it could take slightly longer, which we understood to mean plus or minus 1-2 hours. -Scheduling was easy, and Eunice’s employee arrived right on time. The full gym was disassembled in about an hour, and everything was moved to our new place within an hour and a half. -The initial PRX rack installation went smoothly. However, when it came time to mount other parts of the gym, the handyman drilled straight through our garage wall—and into the brand-new shower tile in our bathroom on the other side. -Mistakes happen. But at this point, we had already hit the 7-hour mark, and with only 60% of the project complete, we estimated another 3-4 hours would be needed to finish. Given the damage, we decided to stop the project there. -We called Eunice multiple times before she finally returned our call. When she did, she assured us she would cover the cost of the shower repair ASAP. -However, we were not prioritized—it took almost three weeks to get our shower tile replaced. To be fair, had we not been out of town, the repair could have happened two days earlier, but it still would have taken over two weeks. -When we voiced concerns and asked if there was any additional way to make things right, Eunice was dismissive, saying, “You told the tile repairman you have another shower.” That was true—but it didn’t make the situation any less frustrating. -The repair was eventually completed. However, we were shown a matching grout color and told it would dry to match our existing tile. It didn’t. We left the shower untouched for 48 hours, but the grout remains starkly different (see photos). -When we brought this up to Eunice, she claimed our existing grout had faded due to “normal wear and tear.” This is brand-new tile work that had maybe seen four showers. She then said any further adjustments would come at an extra cost. Ultimately, I can’t recommend Absolutely Handy for any job requiring precision or attention to detail. While we expected a professional experience, we were left dealing with damage, delays, and dismissive responses.
Hired Absolutely Handy to do a few small tasks around the house and would absolutely recommend! They were easy to book, available without a few business days, and great communication. Replaced kitchen faucet, installed outdoor roller shades, TV mount, and invisible bookshelves. They also inspected my ceiling fan to help determine why it isn’t working well and if a longer downrod was feasible. Will hire again
Did a great job. Provided me with options just in case the job needed additional work.
Eunice did such an incredible job. Perfect communication and even better quality on the work. We had a unique project and it came out better than expected. Eunice installed a dishwasher in our kitchen and made it look like it was always there.
