Dan has been the only contracter to respond both to my calls or texts. I had to have my 18x36 pool removed and filled in with dirt due to neighbors trees falling during 8/11 storm. Dan explained everything he was going to do and why. During a trying time he made it somewhat better. The final outcome looks great. I would highly recommend Dan ACES WITHOUT ANY HESITATION!

From the start to finish. Dan gave me a quite to demo and get a old barn of my property, so I can build me a new garage. We started this project in late february when the weather was okay. The weather turn bad and froze the ground. The one day job turned into multiple trips, coming back to get everything taken care of (when he was paid in full).He did, it, did not charge me no extra and he was a man of his word. So I hired him to do a couple more jobs around my property. The same on all these jobs. He was there when he said he was going to be there and he completed the projects as he told me. So I highly recommend Dan and his crew, 100%
Dan was timely with the project - from initial site visit to completion to follow up! Great communication and knew exactly what he was doing. No issues or complaints. Would definitely recommend and use again!
The initial contact with Dan went well and he showed up and got started. The communication was pretty good at the beginning and up to about midway as well. Then, as he progressed with the work, particularly building a retaining wall with railroad ties, it became apparent to me that he was not experienced at this kind of work. As a matter of fact, I have had other contractors, looking at the quality of his work and they all ask me if I did this myself. I had to tell him about placing deadman anchors and he did not connect them properly to the retaining wall. The joints of railroad ties closely overlap the lower rows and I believe the wall is poorly constructed from a stability standpoint. The railroad ties do not hold up well, and I had shown him pricing for treated architectural timbers. The worst part is the cost over runs, and the items that were taken out of the initial contract due to the cost overruns. I basically spent 30% more over the budget and got less than what we agreed upon in the contract. He was already 25% higher than 2 other contractors. However, he was older, articulate, and seemed more professional during our initial presentation. I initially had a good feel about him. He is now 7+ weeks out after saying he would be back to finish the job in two weeks. He is a one man outfit who rents his equipment and uses his son as backup labor. He is articulate and presents himself well, but these are things that don’t get you an on time, on budget job. It pains me to write this review, but I can back this up with changing contracts, price over runs, photos, etc. Very frustrating experience.
We had a great experience working with Dan. He created a beautiful gravel driveway for us and did an amazing job prepping the rest of our backyard for landscaping. He was professional, timely, communicative, and very easy to work with throughout the entire process. His pricing was fair, and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations.
