The cleaning made zero difference because the coil was never the source of the odor. Shortly after, my tenant, who has zero HVAC experience, went into the crawlspace and immediately spotted the real issue: a supply duct was completely disconnected, and an open return was drawing damp crawlspace air directly into the system. A second licensed HVAC contractor confirmed these massive structural duct failures, which AE completely overlooked across two separate diagnostic visits. When asked to refund the $540 spent on an unnecessary service caused by his misdiagnosis, the technician hid behind fine-print disclaimers and refused. Save your money and hire a contractor who performs a complete inspection.

Austin was awesome. Austin was able to fit us into their schedule within the same hour that I contacted him to help us get our A/C unit fixed up. They diagnosed the issue quickly and had a fix for the A/C unit in short order. I'm planning on hiring Austin again when we have HVAC needs!
