Edgar did not show up on two occasions, and his communication was poor. I texted him multiple times and received no response, which left me waiting for him without knowing whether he was coming. He did not show consideration for my time. If he had simply communicated that he was unable to make it or did not want to help, I would have understood and sought assistance from someone else. Very disappointed.

Edgar did an incredible job assembling a massive, highly complex 1,400 lb Smith machine trainer for me. He knocked out the assembly with impressive speed, handled the intricate cable pulley system perfectly, and the overall build quality is rock solid. Professional, efficient, and great to work with. I hired Edgar to repair my Peloton treadmill after seeing several positive reviews. Before confirming the appointment, I specifically asked if he had experience with Peloton equipment—since it’s a newer brand and often requires manufacturer-specific knowledge. Still he proceeded to schedule an appt. The experience quickly went downhill. Our initial appointment was rescheduled last-minute, and I only found out because I reached out asking for an ETA—otherwise I would’ve waited all day with no update. Life happens, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. When he did show up, he performed a quick diagnostic and told me I’d need a new circuit board and running belt. He said he’d source the parts and be back within a week. A full week passed with zero updates. I messaged him multiple times on Thumbtack with no response for almost two weeks. Only after sending a more direct text message did I finally get a reply, saying he’d “start looking” for the parts and update me within two days. At that point, I was confused wasn’t that what he was supposed to be doing already? Then came another delay. He said he couldn’t find the parts and that Peloton needed owner information—something any tech with actual Peloton experience would’ve known upfront. This confirmed my suspicion that he wasn’t familiar with these machines, despite saying otherwise. Bottom line: I wasted time and money ($95 for the initial visit) with nothing to show for it. Communication was poor throughout, follow-through was lacking, and the experience did not match the glowing reviews I initially trusted. If you have a Peloton or any specialized equipment, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Edgar did an excellent job finding the problem, it needs a new motor. He will return to install the new motor when it arrives.
Edgar did an excellent job in maintaining my 6 year old treadmill. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and did not stop looking for issues until all the dirt, squeaks and noises in my treadmill were gone. His price was also reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend him and will surely hire him again.
