Why are they are taking my old parts and he is saying he has put a new part don’t use them they are stealing the parts taking that they put it but they did not do it
Totally took advantage of a female senior, charging $450 to perform a 15-20 minute replacement of a dryer heating element. I was still in shock from having a tree go through my roof hours before but I needed the work done. He didn't quote any estimated cost, simply started working and was done within minutes. I was stunned at his final bill and said I knew how much the parts cost and that seemed very, very high. He kept jabbering about oh no, how expensive the parts were. I just wanted him out of my house, so I paid. Again, I'm a disabled senior citizen and felt TOTALLY ripped off. I checked the average cost for this job and it's $230, NOT $450. So happy I could make his day special. UPDATE: Not only was I vastly overcharged - the repair failed. The dryer is stopping before drying is complete and I'm left with sopping wet items. Without a refund, I will be forced to seek compensation legally.
Eddie responded quickly, came next day on a weekend for no additional charge and was a delight to have in my home. I will definitely use him again!
