Bonnie is a little hidden GEM. She pulled up my apartment floor plan in advance so she already knew the measurements and dimensions. She flawlessly walked through and gave me suggestions on each space with color of paint, furniture, accessories, and spacial arrangements that were spot on. Her decades of experience saved me time and resources. Count yourself a lucky recipient if you get her. She is truly exceptional.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with Bonnie and highly recommend her to make a home more visually pleasing and functional. When we moved into our house we had a huge bonus room that we knew had potential but we had no vision for. We had a pool table, and a treadmill and that was about it. Well Bonnie came and her vision was made a beautiful and functional entertainment space. We love having another room to host people, as well as to just relax ourselves. She turned the room from an empty area that wasn’t really used, to a major statement area we love showing off to people. Thank you for your work on this Bonnie! Working with Bonnie has been amazing! This was my first time ever hiring an interior designer and I am so glad I found her. Bonnie listened to exactly what I was looking for and what my price range preferences were and created a beautiful plan incorporating everything. She created visual plans so I could see what her ideas were, which was so helpful to me. Bonnie went above and beyond to then make that plan come to life. We were painting the lower level in our town home which included 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a sun room, and a large great room. We asked Bonnie to help us select paint colors. I hired Bonnie to help me with furniture placement in my living room that has a very challenging layout. She helped me with furniture sizing and arrangement and also had some great design ideas that I hadn’t thought of. She provided me with a floor plan with dimensions of my room and was very responsive to my follow up questions after our initial meeting. I would definitely recommend her.
My marriage did not turn out as planned. Bonnie came in as we began to go on separate journeys in mid-life with me staying in the house with teenagers until ???? We had been in the house 13 years with the basement serving as the kids toy area which morphed into the dumping grounds of all things that became unloved. Bonnie held my hand through the transition, changing the basement to my suiting (transitional) into Mom's space and is continuing to work with me (for nearly two years now) as we go room by room through the rest of the house. She was 1 of 5 that I interviewed for the role and was 1 of 2 that made some suggestions on the first visit. And, was the only to give tips during the first visit that I had never thought of and once implemented was--why had I never thought of that this is so much better. There were some hard parameters (good family furniture could be reupholstered, but had to stay) and no structural changes. She stayed within those parameters. Equally important, while she is direct and blunt, she was able to have beautiful, meaningful, delicate conversations with me, when we were standing at Southern Lighting picking out a chandelier for my "new" bedroom. I wanted faceted crystals--traditional, sophisticated glamor and had narrowed it down to two--one $800 plus and one around $400. $800 plus was faceted; $400 was not, but was beautiful. It was a painful to make a decision because it wasn't just about a light--I am 50, worked hard, and have done my best in life, got the short end of the stick in my marriage, and deserved the faceted. Bonnie gently said, yes, you are worth and deserve the faceted, but the $400 chandelier is beautiful, almost the same, and you deserve to be financially sound. You will appreciate it just as much. I was stuck, our house is an open concept design with lots of oak wood trim and cupboards, and it was all one grey/white color throughout every room. I wanted to bring color to our space but had no idea where to start. I found Bonnie on Thumbtack, she arrived and we immediately went to work on touring our rooms and talking about what I wanted and how best to utilize our space and light. She came back the next week with a few color swatches. I bought some sample paints to test out the colors with the various lighting and trim in our rooms, I texted Bonnie a few questions, she responded quickly and we settled on the colors! We painted our whole main level, entryway and upper hall. We absolutely love it!! I’m so impressed with how well our rooms weave together, bringing a whole new level of warmth and coordination to our home, I never would have achieved this without Bonnie! Thank you Bonnie!
