About Art by Nau
Hello! I’m an engineer with a lifelong passion for art and mural painting. I’ve been creating murals professionally for several years, but my very first one was back in 5th grade, when I painted pine trees and a mountain scene on my classroom walls. Today, I bring that same creativity and attention to detail to every project, whether it’s a custom mural for your home or business, or a black-and-white drawing or canvas painting. As a one-person studio, you’ll work directly with me from concept to final brushstroke, ensuring your vision is understood and brought to life. Serious inquiries only, please! I’m happy to discuss ideas and create something unique for your space, but please reach out when you’re genuinely ready to explore hiring an artist. Mural projects require time, communication, and planning on both sides, and artists are charged significantly for every inquiry received through Thumbtack. If you’re ready to upgrade your space with unique, hand-painted art, let’s talk. I look forward to working with you!

Nau was a very engaging & friendly person. The children & adults were happy with the interaction & the product that they experienced.
Working with Nau was a dream! She responded to our request quickly and worked with us to figure out how to best bring our vision to life. We told Nau a bit about the child whose room the mural would be in and his interests. She then quickly sent us three sketches of potential directions she could go in. This was incredibly helpful for us as we had an idea in mind but weren’t sure exactly how it should look. Nau absolutely nailed it with the concept sketches though! It was quick and easy to schedule with Nau. Throughout the process she was helpful and responded quickly whenever we had a question. She was able to complete the mural in about 7 hours and the quality blew us away! She was also incredibly kind and welcoming to the child she was painting the mural for. He loved the mural and declared it, “the best thing in my whole house! I love it!!!” I would highly recommend Nau for any mural projects you have and would rehire her in a heartbeat. Thank you Nau!!
There was a very large rock in the back yard on a hill and I thought it would look great with a blue sky, clouds and trees. She painted exactly what I asked for and more. It is beautiful! Thank you, Nau. You are a pleasure to work with. Karen
We love our nursery mural! Nau did an amazing job bringing our idea to life.
We hired Nau to face paint at our daughter's 5th birthday party, which was scheduled to be outdoors at a park. Weather was tricky as rain was expected and we ended up shifting times to maximize time outside at the park. Nau was flexible and was able to work with us to come earlier and continue to work through some light drizzles. The kids absolutely loved her and her work and most came back for seconds and even thirds. Nau understood the need to be quick so that kids were not left waiting for too long. Absolutely recommend her and we'll be hiring her again for the next party!
Although we did not have many children to get their faces painted, Nau was most accommodating and flexible. It was a new area outside that contained the children's activities and she was most cooperative being moved around a little bit. Her artwork on the little faces was beautiful; I just wish more kids had been there. Weather was beautiful
We will not be able to express in words how absolutely thrilled we are with the artwork! When Nau and I first started discussing my Jaws Van project she had a lot of input and ideas on what she wanted to do.So we decided to let her do her vision of the project The outcome is an incredible painting that far exceeded our expectations!! We cannot thank you enough Nau.
Very responsive; the results looked great on the kids; and we couldn't have been happier!
Nau was amazing at face painting for my daughter’s 6th birthday. She had great designs for the kids from scorpions and Batman to sparkle unicorns. I would definitely hire her in the future. She was also very fast to respond.
Nau was amazing to work with. She had wonderful ideas and was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
Nau did a fantastic job with our mural at the front entrance of our office building to bring more life to the space. We trusted her to take our loose vision and bring it to life and we are thrilled with the results!! I highly recommend working with her!
Working with Nau was such a fun experience! The mural for my baby’s safari themed nursery came out even better than I could have ever imagined! Nau was so kind and open to my thoughts about the mural - but honestly, her design ideas were just so on point!! Will absolutely be contacting Nau again for our second child’s nursery!!
Nau is awesome, this is the second event I have booked her for. The kids absolutely love her, and really enjoy getting their face painted. I will most definitely be reaching out again next year to hopefully have her again.
Wonderful artist, all the kids at the party were very happy with their face painting. Only one star removed for being late. But we all know Boston traffic so that is reasonable in my book. Would definetely hire again.
Custom Lotus & Mandala Mural Working with Art by Nau was an incredible experience from start to finish. I had a vision of a calming, sacred space centered around a lotus and mandala mural — and Nau brought it to life with such care, intention, and artistic brilliance. She listened deeply to what I wanted, and the final mural completely exceeded my expectations. The lotus design, filled with intricate detail and surrounded by soft, glowing mandala elements and golden dots, creates a peaceful focal point in the room. It’s elegant, spiritual, and full of depth — exactly the atmosphere I hoped to create. The mural is now the heart of the space (as seen in the photos), and everyone who enters the room is instantly drawn to it. The design flows perfectly with the rest of the decor, turning a plain wall into a powerful piece of art that inspires calm and reflection. If you’re looking for an artist who not only has serious talent but also truly gets your vision and brings it to life with soul and precision, I can’t recommend Art by Nau enough. She is a gem to work with, and her work speaks for itself.
We hired Naumilda for our neighborhood block party and she was fantastic! She arrived on time, communicated clearly throughout the planning process, and her face painting skills were truly impressive. The designs were creative and beautifully executed—the kids absolutely loved them! She worked efficiently and made sure every child who wanted their face painted got a turn within our scheduled time. Naumilda brought such wonderful, positive energy to our event. Highly recommend her for any community or children’s event!
Simply amazing! She is so very talented! Wonderful with children and incredibly flexible! The kids loved the face painting and it was simply a pleasure!
Naudine was absolutely wonderful to work with! She did a amazing job handling multiple children at my daughters / sons combined birthdays (ages 6 and 9). She was always quick to respond making the day so easy to plan! The girls loved their designs with beautiful gems adorned ! Naudine was extremely patient with the large group of children and very kind and friendly to each child! I would highly recommend her and plan to reach out to her for future parties.
I had Art by Nau painted a customized dart board for my husband’s birthday. To say it came out amazing is an understatement! She was so professional and really worked my ideas into a reality! Easiest recommendation of you’re looking for a local artist who does great work! And was completed well before the date I needed it done!
