My husband broke a key off in our cage lock. I went to Thumbtack for help. Posted a picture of the lock and said we broke key off in it and have 2 locks it goes to. This guy told me to call him. I did. He was busy (I could hear a woman talking about the key to her safety deposit box in the background). I had to repeat how many locks etc. like 3 times. He said $140 to extract broken key and use it to make a new key. $240 if he had to replace locks. I said ok. We agreed to 2:30. He called me back. Now all of a sudden he had no recollection of $150 or $240 and wanted $500 to replace both locks. That seemed crazy to me so I looked it up on Amazon…$35 a lock. Jeez….do your homework everyone. Some folks will take advantage of our trusting nature and busy schedules. But he did tell me to have a nice day!
Did a great job rekeying my new home and changing the mailbox lock. Also was able to calibrate two doors so that they can lock properly. He was really fast too! Saved me a lot of effort. Definitely would recommend.

I hired ASV to install few locks. Did ok on one door with everything working fine and advised me to get one sided lock for my brand new other expensive door. I liked the idea from safety POV and asked him to come back once I have the lock available. For that day I left him 5 star rating. Next day he came in to install the lock and he seemed to be in a hurry. He started drilling through my expensive door without proper measurements and precautions, ended up drilling extra big circle. Plus took a long time to install the lock which he claimed he has done installation of multiple times. In short left a really bad looking installed lock. I should have hired more experienced professional.

Abel was awesome… he came in my home with a mask on and tools in hand… You can tell he knows his skill… he installed all 6 of my locks with ease and in an hour. Very professional and answered any questions I had. He cleaned up after himself and left. Would def save his num for any locksmith needs for the future.
