My mother is disabled, and after contractors left her kitchen remodel incomplete, we struggled to figure out how to install the vent over her range. No one in my family has much handyman experience, and getting the job done was very difficult despite our many attempts to learn from YouTube. I posted the job on Thumbtack, and Gurban responded almost immediately. We were able to arrange for the work to be completed that same day, which was an enormous relief. Communication through the app was easy, and he finished the installation and tested everything to ensure it was working properly before he left. My mom is incredibly grateful to finally have this taken care of! We’ll definitely keep Gurban in our contacts for any future handyman projects around the house. Highly recommend!

Posted for a someone to put a murphy bed together and hang a TV. He responded quickly and was there when he said he would be. The job was huge and he stayed the course! Recommend him Everytime!

Very nice and respectful guy but ultimately terrible at this kind of job. We hired him for patching and painting . The same day the paint started cracking. He left the painting job that he did do in zigzag motion 🤣 which he mislead us and told us would blend after it dried. He forgot to paint some spots as well before he left. We hired him for the baseboards because our dogs chewed on the ends. The guy did a molding job that looks like it was done by a toddler. He told us he would be able to tighten our sink because we asked him to come in person to review the work. He didn’t fix it at all and told us it was fix. Later on said it needed to be replaced but why not tell us instead of lying to us!? We paid him 400 and tipped 100 prior to seeing what he had done because we had to leave him in our house alone ; he got here an hour late. After seeing his work We contacted him in attempt to see if he could fix the terrible job; He didn’t show up at all. And informed us he couldn’t make it at 2:50 pm when he scheduled us for 3 pm. Punctuality is not his strong suit because he was late three times in a row by 30 minutes to hours. After that we decided to contact another handyman and just figure out ourselves. Because it’s truly an headache to keep having to reschedule especially with someone who we don’t have faith in his work. We asked if we could get 200 back given we will have to redone and repay for all the work he did at full price to another handyman and also we would not leave him a review so it doesn’t affect his business. Which is wayyyy more than fair given the quality of the work he does! He thought the appropriate thing was to give us back our tip which was only 100 dollars . He worked on this for 6 hours which tells me ; if this is the best he can do. He just isn’t cut out for this kind of work and should be more honest about his abilities . I wouldn’t recommend hiring him for any home repair things ; especially if you are on a time crunch like we are. Because we are trying to stage and sale our home. He shows up late then we have to reschedule our cleaner or stager and the realtor has to be pushed back. We lost 400 dollars and most importantly our time . DON’T LOSE YOUR MONEY OR Your TIME. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!
