B. King Designs

We hired Barry to do the design on our 10,000 sq. ft. custom home. I will lay out a few of the specifics, but do not hire him. Of course, he advertises $75 per/hr on this site, but of course he is $100 per/hr. After my experience with him I would pay $250 an hr. not to have him do our home. He messed up everything, from our measurements of tile and our custom doors on our home. He lied every time he opens up his mouth. He double bills and I have proof. We didn't care about the money in the beginning until he started arguing and raising his voice to us, to simple see and invoice, which you will never see because he wants to only go thru his Quickbooks. In his own words

Never followed through after home survey. Promised estimates 4 times. Nothing. Apathy predicts performance. Zero faith in performance.

Loved working with Barry. Everything was smooth and easy. I’d received other estimates and because B. King Designs is not a huge company, and he has his own work room, all was much less dollar wise but certainly no less professionally speaking!! I’m enjoying my new drapes very much. I’d highly recommend B. King Designs for your custom work. And I’d certainly use their services again. Thank you Barry!

Barry did an incredible job installing new blinds in our house. The quality was fantastic, the installation was pretty, and his team were friendly and professional.

My initial need was to have custom curtains made for my scenario of windows stacking high in a 2-story open area. In Mr. King's initial consultation, he recommended more changes than simply replacing the curtains. On his second consultation, he presented changes for not only the curtains but a radical change to the aged entertainment console and the overall paint theme of the main areas of the house. Though painting a 2-story open area was beyond his services, he planned and implemented a great alternative to my aging, yet expensive entertainment center. It took a few weeks of family repainting the entire living area, and a few repeat visits for Mr. King and his team to install the wall-mounted shelves and the AMAZING new curtains and shears, with Roman shades for the other windows in the open area. But we all got it done. Mr. King and his team were especially easy to work with. This was my first experience with a decorator. I am blessed to have been able to afford this opportunity (not saying that the price wasn't reasonable. I felt I got exactly what I paid for). I was not disappointed. I plan on recalling B. King next year for a revamp of our master bedroom.

B. King Designs are miracle workers! Barry and Alex were wonderful!! We were scheduled to shoot a commercial within three weeks. They finished the project in record time! My boring and cold office is now warm and beautiful. They were professional and implemented amazing ideas!! I am so thankful I found these guys. I would definitely hire again!

Barry is an outstanding interior designer. He understood the “look” I wanted and I loved everything he picked for me. Has an excellent eye for color. Was able to rework the drapes I had from my last bedroom to fit the current bedroom! Has responded immediately to my concerns and corrected the issues . He is really good at what he does. I’ve worked with a lot of high level well known designers and Barry is right up there with them!

I cannot say enough about how much I love his work!! My home is fabulous!!! After we met, we talked about ideas and the rest is history. He is professional, knowledgeable and does most of the work himself, which is one way you know it will be done right!! There are so many pictures and i can only attach 5 per this app. ♥️♥️♥️

This has been the worst experience I have ever had using a building professional in my 60yrs and many renovations. All of his drawing measurements were incorrect. I had to measure and change all with my carpenter. He made one promise after another and never kept any and was always making excuses that he had bigger jobs to handle, then he sends me a bill for $1,425.00 work he never did and what he did was incorrect. Please stay away from this scammer, you will regret ever doing business with him.
