I had a big, ugly hole in my bathroom ceiling from a leaking pipe a floor above. I reached out to Barbosa Plastering after seeing their ratings on this site. I had reached out to two other drywall contractors, who responded once, one even stopped over to see the job, then crickets. Barbosa, on the other hand, was so responsive, I heard back the same day! I shared photos of the area needing repair and I was given a price and a date for the repair the same day for the same week! This is unheard of. And the contractor was also right on time 😮. The repair looks beautiful, you would never know there was a big hole there. I will post before and after pictures. The repair was done promptly, the work area was left spotless. I am very impressed, and would highly recommend them for any plaster/ drywall project. In the photos, you will notice the area still needs a light sanding. I had asked to leave it like that so I can paint the ceiling and wall area myself. One other thing, I have a large older Newfoundland who can be very stubborn . She decided not to move out of the work pathway. I tried everything, but a treat won in the end. The contractor even trying to help me get her into the kitchen! Now that’s above and beyond 😂

Rafael did an incredible job patching up a very large dry wall hole and painting over. He got the job done with no issues, and you can't even tell that it was ever damaged.
We recently hired Barbosa Plastering for our drywall job and were extremwly satisfied with the results. The team was professional, efficient, and completed the work on time. Communication was great, and they addressed any concerns promptly. I highly recommend their services.
My flatscreen TV fell out of the wall, leaving a gaping hole in the middle of the living room. Within 24 hours, Barbosa was here and completed the job to perfection. I can’t sing his praises enough. He is a wonderful guy with a true talent for the skill he possesses. I would recommend him without reservation. I could not be more pleased.
Enjoyed working with Barbosa & Company. He did great work to take an old attic space and make it a functional room in less than a week. Recommend.
Rafael, the owner, did a fantastic job repairing and resurfacing a large wall where I removed a double vanity countertop to ceiling mirror. There was a lot of damage to the drywall and it now looks brand new. He was on time, professional, and left the area clean. I feel lucky to have found him!
Got our walls plastered, on time, for a reasonable price
I had a stairwell wall with a large failed plaster section and several smaller damaged spots — old lath-and-plaster construction, not a simple patch job. Rafael quoted $600 from a photo and stuck to it. Rather than just skimming over the problem, he cut out the failed area, fitted a new board, mesh-taped the seams, filled the smaller holes, and skim-coated the whole wall so the repair disappears into the original plaster. The finished surface is flat and ready for paint. He was responsive, on time, and clearly knows the difference between drywall work and plaster work. If you have an older home and need someone who can actually handle plaster, this is the call.
He did a great job taking care of damaged drywall in our kitchen and plan to hire him again for other projects that we’ve been putting off for too long
Scheduled a time and never showed up. Confirmed with him multiple times.
I reached out and he was here by the next morning! I am more than satisfied with the work done. So happy and it only took half a day. Will definitely be using Barbosa’s drywall for future projects!
Quick response, good work, cleaned up after the job. Top notch!
I have used Mr Barbosa for 2 separate drywall projects and he and his crew did a wonderful job on both. He is very responsive and was able to schedule the jobs quickly. I highly recommend this company.
Barbosa Plastering did an amazing job on our bathroom ceiling. He worked fast and his skill showed in the final product. He transformed the room from a sad, dated space to a crisp, high-end quality. He is a Plaster expert. He also primed and painted. He works only with high-quality products. He knows the special needs for bathroom surfaces. He did an amazing job cleaning up afterwards. He is a tremendous communicator. We were most impressed. In fact, he will be coming back for more projects for us.
I like his service because Raphael's attitute to his work, he kept doing this job until he get it done, he doesn't even eat lunch the whole day.
Did a good and complete job in the time agreed upon.
Barely said anything about the job, said I would receive a quote, and never responded to my message (waited almost a week to ask about the quote- that was 5 days ago- never heard back). Unprofessional and a waste of my time.
Super great, fast and efficient
The workmanship was excellent. If you need quality drywall work done hire Raphael!
Barbosa plasterer and painter is fantastic! The amazing quality of work received for the excellent rates they charge is incredible! Nothing but positive things to say. (He did our ceiling and one wall in our old construction home). THANK YOU SO MUCH!
