DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They failed to pay our videographer for our shoot or his one prior so we received NO FOOTAGE, no raw, no revisions, no final video edit AT ALL, let alone by contractually agreed on timeline. Quick search outside of thumbtack shows long history of SCAMS! After receiving the runaround for weeks through their customer service support and various “departments” we spoke to the CEO who claimed because we said we had a videographer show up, we received services. Looked over the contract, there’s an addendum stating “no refunds once services start”. SHOWS TYPICAL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT LIKE WE DID

Reviews
This company appears to be a referral company inside a referral company…? They cost me $750 and didn’t accomplish anything….horrible.
Beige Video & Photo is very responsive! They got back to me with quotes right away. They are very communicative and were open to answer any questions I had.
I hired Beige Video to video a special event in San Carlos, CA on 6/26/25. Specifically, Beige was hired to video a presentation I gave during my retirement event (I was a senior VP at a biotech company). All of the following is taken directly from text messages, documenting this entire saga. 5/31/25 Initial phone contact with Beige was with Terri. Professional. So far so good. 6/2/25 Proposal sent over. Price for services seemed reasonable. Agreed upon price was $2450 (3 video cameras). Again, so far so good. 6/13/25 Signed contract. Paid in advance entire amount of $2450. 6/13/25 I get the following note: "Hi Paul, this is John from Beige — I'm your dedicated Client Success Agent. I'm excited to be working with you on your upcoming Corporate Shoot and Videography!" Okay. Still on track. 6/17/25 Trouble begins. I had asked for an onsite meeting the week before the event, just so I could meet the people involved face-to-face, and they could see the room layout and determine required sound and lighting details. John texts me: "We just wanted to confirm—according to your onboarding form, you requested an onsite visit from the CP. Please note that we typically charge $250 for location scouting." Never mind that the upcharge wasn't captured in the contract, note that we are 9 days from the event and there's no firm date for an onsite business. 6/19/25 Note that this is 7 days before the event. Instead of an onsite meeting Beige Corp proposes a videoconference. This is the first time I am meeting the videographer. Let's just say things did not go well! Here's a lengthy quote of what I wrote to Beige sales representative, named Naz, that summarized the cluster: "As you and I discussed yesterday afternoon, the noon pre-meeting with the creative partner (videographer) that Beige provided was absolutely unacceptable, both with respect to how the meeting was conducted as well as to the qualifications of the person put forward by Beige. At this initial meeting, the videographer was not on camera. Once I asked him to go on video he was on a bus. I asked him how many times he had contracted with Beige and he said "never" (i.e., this was his first experience being subcontracted by Beige). I asked him if he had a website. He said he did not have a website. I asked him for his résumé and for examples of his work. He sent me a link to an Instagram account where there was a bunch of photos but no video. He sent me a link to a YouTube video, which was him walking around a group of people recording a religious event. And he sent me a resume that had no reference whatsoever to any videography work! That is completely unacceptable from a professional perspective, and does not in any way conform to the expectations that were presented by Beige in my conversations with Terri, the Beige sales representative. In your and my conversation yesterday, I said repeatedly to you that the conduct of that original meeting combined with the substandard quality of the Beige subcontractor that there is no way I could or will proceed with Beige. Indeed I have already made alternate plans and contracted with another company for the event next week. I explained to you that we now need to settle this both financially and with respect to Beige's reputation. As a goodwill gesture I offered to let Beige keep $400 of the $2450 that I had already paid Beige. My request is that Beige return $2050 to me. If Beige agrees, then I communicated to you that I feel there will be no need for me to make any comment about this substandard experience with Beige on social media. I look forward to your response." 6/21/25 Then the COO, Nafisa, gets involved and wrote: "Hi Paul, thank you again for sharing your concerns with me about the conduct of the original creative partner during your pre-production meeting. I looked into that creative partner and believe he is more fit for a different niche of videography projects, and appreciate your feedback regarding the selection process. I understand you are looking for a creative partner who can see eye to eye with you and meet your expectations of not only working with Beige in the past, but having a solid resume and reel of work which you can reference to feel assured that your project is in good hands. As such, I'd love to connect and present to you [name redacted], one of our top NorCal creative partners." 6/21/25 I replied to Nafisa, Beige COO: "I appreciate the offer of a new creative partner. Unfortunately, as you read in my text above, my experience was so disconcerting that I immediately decided that I couldn't rely on Beige and I needed to find another solution. So I made a couple of phone calls and a professional contact I know connected me with a videographer that he knows and trusts. I called that individual and he said he was available next Thursday so I booked him immediately, and money has already exchanged hands. And there's no way I'm going to go back on a personal connection's recommendation. That first business meeting with the Beige creative partner was so substandard that Beige immediately lost all credibility with me. This retirement event that I am hosting next Thursday is a once in a lifetime event, and that one exceptionally negative experience with Beige was the end of the line for me as I could not take the chance that my meeting experience with the creative partner was the true reflection of Beige as a Corporation overall. I hope you can understand my disappointment in Beige, and my decision to take immediate action to remediate the situation (i.e., find another videographer) given the time sensitivity. Now I am simply asking Beige to standby its name and provide me with a reasonable refund which to me seems something along the lines of $2,050 — my proposal to Naz yesterday was for Beige to keep $400 (of the already paid $2,450) for Beige's time spent to date. I look forward to your response." 6/23/25 Response from Nafisa: "To be transparent: since we've already begun pre-production and secured a creative partner, we’re unable to offer a refund at this stage. However, if you choose not to move forward on this particular project, we’d be happy to provide full shoot credit for future personal or corporate events." I've been in business for 40 years. I've negotiated many contracts through the years, and I know when a company takes their responsibilities and obligations seriously. Things sometimes go sideways. It's how people (company representatives) handle themselves in these situations that really speak to the quality and integrity of the organization. This company lost credibility with me. Responsible / accountable leadership knows when to simply come to an amicable financial endpoint. Beige leadership (COO) missed that opportunity with me.
Beige called me within two minutes of me submitting my Thumbtack request! Really appreciated the promptness and curiosity about my project.
I initially posted what I thought I would need, and the video streaming aspect of my project was more complicated than what I had anticipated,& both photography and videography was required for what I was requesting. This company contacted me immediately, shared their ideas on what the project would entail,& showed a definite understanding of the task and ability to get it done. They also provided me with a quick estimate, and given that I had misunderstood the complexity of what I wanted and what it would require, the amount was quite reasonable. It turns out that my event planner had not mentioned that they could provide the AV services I needed and that it was covered under the event planning fee I was already paying, so hiring another pro was no longer necessary. As a result, I did not get to actually work with this company, so my rating and review is based on their service and professionalism. Their initial responsiveness, clear understanding of what was needed, and willingness to help me achieve my project, all made my experience hiring a pro here in Thumbtack much more pleasant.
Kawson was great to speak with and very responsive. While we didn't choose Beige this time around, I would definitely look to them again for an event more fitting of their skills.
Amazing. They really know how to capture your vision and make it reality. I would definitely recommend using them for any type of project you have. The team is fantastic
We highly recommend Beige Productions for your videography needs! They did an amazing job for our wedding. The final edited video looks like a professional music video. Thank you so much!
The team delivered a very last minute montage. They were nothing short of professional and very responsive.
