About Berman Electric
Berman Electric is an owner-operated Long Island electrical company serving homeowners throughout Suffolk and Nassau County. I’m Rob Berman. Electrical work has been part of my family for generations, and I’ve built Berman Electric around one standard: do the job correctly, communicate clearly, and leave the customer with work I’m proud to put my name on. We handle electrical troubleshooting, service and panel upgrades, EV chargers, dedicated circuits, lighting, renovations, backup power and residential electrical improvements. You’ll deal directly with me throughout your project. Send me a brief description, your town, and a few photos and I can usually tell you the best next step quickly.
Reviews
Was very happy with the work that was done, very knowledgeable and professional
Berman Electric exceeded every expectation. They replaced multiple ceiling fans, interior and exterior light fixtures, dimmer switches, a garage timer, and resolved a patio fan issue with exceptional workmanship and attention to detail. The team was professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions as a first-time homeowner. Their pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and they left everything spotless when the job was finished. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will absolutely be using them again for future electrical projects.

Outstanding service! Prompt response, highly professional, and excellent quality of work. I will certainly hire him again for any future electrical needs.
Responded quickly after posting via text, described work to be done, we agreed on date and time for installation of bathroom exhaust fan. Day of installation text to verify and kept me notified of ETA. Arrived and after a quick looked at room and new fan went back to his vehicle to get the tools needed for the job. Work completed within the hour cleaning up as he went and reviewed fan operations. Very professional and knowledgeable would definitely use again for any electrical needs
Rob was outstanding, fixed all of the electrical issues we had and was extremely professional, punctual and charged reasonable prices. We 100% will use him again in the future and recommend him to everyone we know. Soooo glad we found him on Thumbtack!!
Rob is very responsive. He was able to come out same day, quickly triage the problem and get the work done effectively and efficiently. He changed the photocell in our light fixture which allows the light to turn on and off based on sunlight. He also replaced our garage door opener. He went out to a nearby electrical supply store to get the supplies he needed to do the work.
Rob, was great!
Rob was great to work with to install our wired ring doorbell and chime. Would call him again for electrician support!
Rob was very prompt and communicative. He did excellent and clean work adding an outlet and much needed outdoor lighting at a reasonable price. We are very happy with his work and the care he took to make it look like it was always there! We definitely plan to use Rob for many other projects we would like done!
