About Bicknell Plumbing
I grew up in plumbing business, worked for dad 30 years. Job experience if it has water, sewer or natural gas I can fix it! I have the same customer service attitude as Chick Fila. Customer service is all. But I also have found out you can’t please everyone, but I do try very hard.

He was great. I had sink filled with Metamucil that clogged kitchen sink. Even after using draino it wouldn’t budge. He came out within an hour as promised. Arrived, snaked my line before any additional damage could happen and was gone within an hour. We spent another 15-20 min talking afterwards. I felt the price was fair, not cheap for a weekend job. Very good guy.
Don was amazing! We described our plumbing issue (toilet water supply line was leaking) over the phone, sent him a picture, he knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it in less than 5 minutes after arriving! We were so happy to see it fixed so quick we asked him to look at another issue for us (slow leak in a shower head) and he diagnosed it on the spot and fixed it right up for us too. We highly recommend Don for your plumbing needs!
Stay out of this guy. He is a big scam. His work was so below par
He could not do the work and he was honest and told me that up front! I really appreciated that!
Explained what the issues were and offered various solutions.
Don quickly found the cause of my leak and installed a new faucet. Quick and easy process. 5 stars
Based on going back and reading the other bad reviews the behavior displayed on our call is consistent. I explained my problem a double under mounted kitchen sink that had dropped on one side. He explained how he would fix which sounded great. I asked for estimated price which he stated was $450 dollars. I questioned that price and asked why so high? He responded “Well if you want me to do a half ass job I can” He then proceeded to quote 350 which I guess is “Half Ass Job” price. I ended the call and stated I would get other quotes. Well I went off the App and called a General Contractor who I have used before for a recommendation he said he could do it came over in an hour and did the work complete with wood supports in 20 minutes and charged $150 I gave him $200 which I though was fair. A customer questioning an obvious over pricing of a job is not cause for being triggered. Good day.
By the time they arrived, the toilet issues had fixed itself. They refused payment despite coming out. Professional and genuine.
We had a fantastic experience with Don from Bicknell Plumbing. He arrived right on time and was incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire process. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my leaky tub faucet and fixed it efficiently. I really appreciate his attention to detail and the quality of his work. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing services! Thanks again Don!
Don repaired two sinks that were coming unglued from the countertop. Don did effectively repair by bracing the sinks. Finishing execution was poor as the caulking and sealing of the sinks was seemingly rushed, glue left in the sinks and minimal cleanup as well as an entire section of one sink sealant missed. Don charged me $590 for this work and has yet to return messages for a follow up.
Don’s response time is unparalleled! Was able to squeeze me in the very next day. Very knowledgeable and hard working. Service with a smile and such a pleasure to work with. He put up with me and took the time to answer all of my questions while he worked. Without a doubt, I can recommend him wholeheartedly. Excellent work, excellent work ethic, excellent demeanor, excellent prices, excellent time frame, and just downright good person, etc ….all well deserving of 5 stars.
Experienced and knowledgeable. Excellent to work with
I’m so glad I got on Thumbtack and found the person I did for my vanity install. Mr. Don did an amazing job taking out a pedestal sink and replacing it with a vanity. His price was more than fair, he worked fast but made sure the job was done correctly and was a joy to have in our home. If you ever need any plumbing needs, he is your man! The photos are before and after (and yes, I will be changing out the door/drawer handles to match the black faucet)
He was very kind and knowledgeable. Will use him again for future plumbing needs!
Great workmanship. He worked through the day before Thanksgiving to unclog the drain. We are satisfied with his professionalism and great attitude.
Pro: He arrived 25 minutes early prepared to work. He corrected the crossed lines and confirmed water was connected correctly. Con: Unfortunately, after arriving and beginning the work he stated he doesnt do dishwashers. He also doesn’t do carpentry; evidenced by the few screws left sticking out in the cabin. He dropped my brand new dishwasher on its face. Im not sure why this pro was listed for a dishwasher installation. He worked at it nearly 3 hours snd couldn’t get the dishwasher secured in the space. We previously had a dishwasher in and we had this one sitting in the cabin out of our way upon his arrival. He set us back a day’s installation. He explicitly told me he was not be called for a dishwasher if I needed help in the future. He tapped out in the 3rd hour and left. He didn’t look at the garbage disposal at all. He did say have a good day.
BICKNELL caused additional damage to my property. He made a huge hole in my sheet rock and damaged my fairy new sink. He refuses to pay for the damages. The estimated cost of repairs is $400.
On December 18th, 2023, I hired Donald Bicknell to repair 1 running toilet, 1 kitchen faucet leak, and to flush 1 hot water line in my master bathroom. Donald caused my my cold water shut-off valve to leak, in my kitchen, and in my master bathroom, that needed to be replaced. He also replaced my hot water valve in my master bathroom, even though it wasn't leaking. A 1 hour repair job turned into a 5 hour repair job. In the process of replacing my hot and cold water valves, he created a 4X12 in hole in the sheet rock, under the master bathroom sink, and ruined the back covering of my 3 year old sink. Donald was not apologetic about the damage and became aggressive towards me when I expressed my displeasure. The cost to repair the sheet rock is $400. When I informed him of the cost, he bought 2 cans of crack filler for me to use to repair a large hole. The replaced turn-off valves leaked for 2 days, requiring Donald to return to my home. Please proceed with caution when hiring Donald. He doesn't like to be challenged. If you ask him questions about his work, he gets defensive. You've been warned.
We are extremely grateful and satisfied with the services Don delivered. He was very flexible with our schedule, diagnosed the issues quickly with two of our toilet bowls, and worked diligently to get the job done. Additional mention, Don took his time by explaining the issues clearly and presenting the best course of action for repair. Especially for one of the toilets, which was found to have previously been installed incorrectly. No more rocking toilet bowls! I would definitely recommend Don and his business for future plumbing repair or install needs.
