Ray did a great job installing 2 tv’s. He made sure they were at the right height and level. One of the tv’s we wanted to conceal the wires and was able to accommodate our request. Very professional, communicative and friendly. We will be using ray for other projects in the future.

Zero Stars should be an option. I Hired Ray with Craft Electrical to add additional lighting to my home. I asked him to install 4 lights total. 1 above my dinning room table, and 3 in my hallway. Ray arrived on time, and we discussed the project. After agreeing that he could complete the job he quoted me a price. His price was great, so I allowed him to begin working immediately. The lighting in the hallway required multiple cuts in the sheet rock as there was no existing lighting there before. However, Ray did not go about doing this in the most efficient way. He cut more than 24 holes in my sheet rock to install 3 fixtures in the hall, the fixture above my dining room table was never installed. 1 hole he even went all the way through the exterior of the house. Never did Ray admit to this – I found this after he left. Aside from the excessive number of holes in the sheet rock, once he completed the 3 lights in the hallway I was left with no power to other parts of my house. My entire living room, exterior flood lights had no power. I contacted Ray that evening and he agreed to return the following morning and I quote “I can stop by first thing in the morning and get that back on, it’s something simple”. Ray did return the next morning, but instead of fixing the simple thing he proceeded to cause more issues. Ray took breakers out of my main panel (Completely disconnected the wiring) causing more areas in my house to lose power. He was there approximately 45 mins, and I could clearly see he wasn’t able to fix the problem. He stated he had another job to get to – I had work to get to, so we agreed to pause and pick this up later.  He did not close my main panel, leaving hot wiring fully exposed. He left breakers out, and Multiple areas of my home without power. Including the 3 lights in the hall that he had just installed. I asked him how he intended to correct the issue and he implied that I would owe him more money. It was at this point that I decided to ask for a partial refund through Thumbtack because not only did Ray not do the job he was hired for, but he also left me with many more electrical and cosmetic issues to fix. Ray responded to my refund request, and I quote “So u filed a dispute on me for a slip of the brain when I didn’t have to come out for free… so now they stop me from getting jobs… now I can’t feed my family when u could have just talk to me like a man” Ray never refunded any of my money. I hired another electrician to come in and fix everything, who also confirmed the amount of destruction caused by Ray could only have been done intentionally. This cost me equal to what I first paid Ray to do the job, and I still must repair the exterior wall of my home, and all the interior sheet rock. I would like to warn anyone thinking of letting Ray do work in their home. This is beyond a nightmare, and ultimately will deter me from hiring off Thumbtack.
