Mike and his team were phenomenal! What stood out at the beginning was that he really listened to what I needed and also got creative with scheduling to help me get things done at an overall sooner end date. Everyone he brought in from framing, electrical, drywall etc. were professional and had high work quality. I did more work with them because of it. Because his team is so fast, we added a few extra big projects. I initially thought I'd only get to have framing finished, but ended up doing a lot more and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Mike and his crew basically redid our entire house and it looks incredible! They did drywall work, built out two custom closets, redid our floors, baseboard, casing, installed new doors for every room, gutted 2 bathrooms, and provided lots of recommendations for other tradespeople to work with on miscellaneous stuff. Took our 1927 house to 2021. Jaime is an absolute legend and literally good at everything, Mario is an excellent tiler, and mike is a really kind contractor who was really helpful with guiding us as first time home owners. He is transparent and honest!

I went back or forth for awhile if I was going to leave a review or not, but as I have begun Ossining, I felt I should. Big oak installed my drywall and did my mudding and taping. The following was my feedback. Communication was a nightmare. I would be told by the owner someone would come over a set day, so I would take work off to make sure I was home and no one would show up, I would reach out and not get a response till the next day or more. Whenever there was an issue, no one doing the work spoke English that was at my house, and so I would let the owner know and still things didn't get fixed. They used my window as a door which is fine, but they would never say they were done for the day, they would randomly just be gone. Since they used the window as a door, they damaged the sheetrock around the window. There are multiple spots in the basement where the tape was still showing through and multiple corners for walls they installed were loose. I gave up trying to get them to fix things and just did it myself. They were messy as well, one day they finished for the day and left, leaving 8 sheets of drywall on my grass. I didn't know they were going to just leave drywall on my lawn so I didn't clean up the dog poop for the day, which the drywall was laid on top of. It was a weekend and my sprinklers were turning in for the night, so I had to move all the sheetrock myself to the side of the house. I am sure they would have continued fixing things that I was bringing up, but the whole process was over a month and I was stood up so many times that I just gave up working with the company.

Mike was very responsive and Mario did a fantastic job on the tile floor and backsplash. He was quick with the demo and installation, faster than we could move with our own prep work. I’d highly recommend and look forward to working with Big Oak Construction again soon.

Jose did an amazing job on the drywall in our bedroom. We extended some partial walls up to the ceiling. He matched the texture perfectly and you cannot see where the old wall ended and the new part begins. He was punctual, trustworthy and professional. I'm excited to get it painted to see the final product. I've attached pictures of the wall after framing and finished prior to painting.

Mike and his whole team, especially Jaime, were amazing to work with! We have had some bad experiences with contractors so were dreading dealing with our bathroom remodel. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised! Mike and his team are communicative, fair, kind - and on time! Our bathroom is gorgeous! We will definitely use Big Oak again for other projects!
