About Black Bear Home Services
Hi, I’m Greg, owner of Black Bear Home Services. I’m a reliable, detail-oriented carpentry-focused handyman with extensive hands-on experience in residential repairs, upgrades, and custom projects. I take pride in high-quality workmanship, clear communication, and doing the job right the first time. My background is in finish and structural carpentry, but my skill set goes well beyond that. I regularly handle everything from custom welding and metal fabrication to small drywall repairs and general home maintenance. Whether it’s fixing something that broke, upgrading your space, or building something completely custom, I bring professional tools, problem-solving skills, and a high standard of care to every project.

Great price and great service! Can’t beat it.
I scheduled an appt for 4 pm. I live 1.5 hrs away. on the day of service, someone else called me telling me 4pm was too late and" I have to respect that!" He asked me to leave and meet him "now." He whined about not doing a desk shelf before and not knowing what tools he needed. When I told him it was like a shelf and he just needed to hit studs or perhaps use a mollie, he got more beligerent. Im an interior designer for 31 years. This is an easy job taking under an hour. It was put up in the wrong place and needed to be moved to another wall. He then complained he was told it needed to be moved down. I did not say that but it doesn't matter because moving it down is the same process as moving it anywhere else. He told me ti get someone else! Totally rude, unprofessional. He has greatly inconvenienced me. He was not the person I set it up with. Never use them.
Gregg was great. He responded to my inquiry for work immediately. I had very limited availability and he was able to fit me in. He was very professional and efficient.
Pro was very thorough
Not only did O have a quick response but the job was completed in a very professional manner. Would use their services again
I appreciated the honesty and professionalism. I have an old dryer that I was told wasn’t worth the effort and cost. I was then supplied with valuable local information about purchasing replacement.
