The initial conversation and booking was great. Jordan was really friendly over the phone and I thought I was going to get amazing service just from the initial conversation. The day was confirmed for 8:30 am. He did text me and let me know that he was going to be 30 minutes late starting, which I was fine with. when he got there he was very friendly and got started wrapping all the furniture. In the middle of the move, the other guy Alex, missed a step as he was coming down th stairs with a box, fall and his elbow punched a pull in my wall. He was ok luckily. Jordan did say he wil bring his handyman to come fix it, which he did. During the move my daughter was riding her scooter and fall off and fractured her arm (which was at no fault to them - I am just illustrating what kind of day this was.) Once every thing was move out and on to the new place, a second story with elevators. While moving boxes, a box was put on an electric stove and the dial was somehow set to " on. " While th guys were down stairs getting more boxes I walked in to th smell of smoke and a box on fire. (1st day in my brand new apartment) I quickly turned off the stove, pulled the box off to turn off fire. Ran down the stairs and yelled out for Jordan to come help me because there's a box on fire. He ran up with me to make sure that everything was okay, grabbed water and threw it on the fire to make sure it was completely off. Opening up the box my Calvin Klein winter coat that I had just bought was burnt and another sweater. At this point it was going to be close to $750 for the hours that they were with me. $150 deposit and 4 hours. He deducted $200. And mounted my TV up on my wall for free versus charging me the $75 that was agreed upon. So my total cost for the day was $550. The handyman ended up coming at 6:24 p.m. versus the agreed upon time of 5:00 p.m. He was really nice and friendly. Fixed the hole in the wall. However, if you ask me if I'm going to use this company again my answer would probably be no. I am just stating the day so you can make an informed decision. I have nothing negative to say about the guys personally, but I'm not sure what happened that day to cause so many negatives.
Excellent experience. Messaged Black Diamond maybe 4pm with a last-minute moving request. They replied almost immediately, we agreed a price and he was at my door before 7pm. It's so refreshing to find someone that can just do what they say they'll do when they say they'll do it.
