Hoover and his team did a great job staining and sealing our backyard deck. They also repaired an area where the boards needed to be replaced. Would recommend and use again.

Reviews
We are grateful with the outstanding work that Cali Painting did for our house’s interior and exterior. Hoover, the owner and project manager, was exceptionally knowledgeable and communicative throughout the entire process. He even went above and beyond by helping figure out paint colors to transform our 100 year old brick and Tudor-style exterior into a more modern look. We wholeheartedly recommend him for any painting work in the future. His work was so impressive that we are now lifelong clients. We’re so glad we chose him! We’ve already recommended him to our friends and family who are considering painting their homes.
I would most definitely recommend Cali Painting, Hoover was professional and thorough explaining the project to me in detail, I love the way my house looks now!
Great work refinishing my swing set. Will hire again.
Very happy with outcome. Job well done!
I couldn’t be happier with the amazing transformation Hoover and his phenomenal team at Cali Painting delivered! They painted an outdoor bar for me, and the results were nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, vibrant colors, and professional finish exceeded my expectations. Hoover’s crew was punctual, friendly, and incredibly skilled. If you’re looking for a painting company that goes above and beyond, Cali Painting is the way to go!
Cali painting did a great job cleaning, sanding and staining our deck. Hoover was very thorough with his explanation of the process, methods and techniques that would be used, as well as providing accurate timeline and cost estimates. The pricing was reasonable and the finished product addressed our concerns - removing mildew and dirt stains, smoothing out and rehydrating splintered wood, and improving the appearance of the wood. We would recommend this pro.
I worked with Hoover and his team and they were fantastic. He thoroughly assessed the job, made good suggestions and executed flawlessly. He completed the exterior house painting on time, on budget and they did a great job. I’d definitely recommend Cali Painting to my friends and family.
I would highly recommend Hoover and his team to paint your outdoor deck. They did an amazing job and my family and I are satisfied. Hoover and his team are very friendly, professional and hardworking and will give you the best results.
Hoover was great, thoughtful and professional, repaired issues on our deck, repainted and gave thoughts for improvement. Will keep using year after year
A wonderful experience. Hoover and his crew were very professional and efficient. All of our questions were answered in full and Hoover offered quite a few suggestions which made the overall project exceed our expectations! Our 35 year deck has never looked so good! We highly recommend his services.
Hoover made sure the job got started right and kept me informed throughout the project. The workers were well supervised and stayed focused.
They did a wonderful job, on time and for a great price. I would absolutely use them again
Very good experience. Was able to start on time and finish on time with out any issues. They did a great job!
Hoover was great to deal with! He was both responsive and friendly. He did a great job staining my deck and swingset. He came for an estimate and showed up when promised and did not try to add surprise charges to my job. I would recommend him and would use him again!
Great experience! I had a tight time of when I needed my deck stained and the crew at Cali made sure everything was ready with time to spare! I'd definitely recommend!
Hoover was very knowledgeable and did a really good job with my deck. He was punctual and very thorough with his work. Would definitely hire him again for other projects
Our experience with Cali Painting was phenomenal. From the very first day Hoover came for the estimate, he thoroughly explained the entire process, answered all questions, and was very helpful in the color selection process. His entire team was extremely kind, professional, and experienced. Only took a few days to transform my house and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Hoover and his company.
Cali painting did an amazing job. They went well above and beyond the scope of work painting and staining my three story house. The fixed numerous issues that arose during the process without issuing any change orders and their attention to detail was very impression right down to replacing the old address numbers on my house without even asking. They worked 7 days a week, weather pending, and did the job the correct way. I cannot wait to use them again.
Thumbtack really limits our ability to rate this company. I would easily give 6 stars, and add Value, Attention to Detail, and Honesty to this as well. This was easily one of the most positive experiences I've had with a contractor. Hoover, from the top down, created an atmosphere of honesty and professionalism that was felt every step of the way. The thing that stood, from the very beginning, was their execution and dedication to quality. During the quote, Hoover used his Project Manager experience to identify every element that should be included, including the basement window wells. This workmanship carried over to the actual prep and paint, too, and the proof can be seen (the bottom is the "After" Cali Painting). The level of detail trimming, cleaning, taking care not to damage house or property, and the overall experience was well worth every dollar. Even the simple thing that Hoover would call or text when they were arriving instead of ringing the doorbell (and the inevitable barking dog waking our child) blew my mind - that was a level of consideration I didn't know I would appreciate at the time. On the topic of communication, Hoover and Cali Painting was top notch as well. We were planned a few months in advance, and while things happened well outside their control, such as Covid-19 and weather, stretched the project a bit we never felt like we were ignored; we always felt like we were the most important project. I can guarantee the other scheduled projects felt that way, too. It takes a delicate, personal touch to make each customer feel like they are #1, especially when nature acts against you. I could go on and on. I haven't talked about the painters, who were very kind and professional. I didn't mention their respect and implemented safety measures for Covid-19. I didn't talk about the minor, but numerous, bits of repair work they did to make the house look exceptional. I didn't talk about their flexibility, or even the deck (such beautiful work) that they stained. Any of those could have easily made a 5-star review on their own. I genuinely cannot wait to hire them again and would highly recommend them to anyone with any painting or deck staining needs. Thank you, Cali Painting, for the tremendous work!
