John was very honest and upfront. He was really good communicating his status. He found the issue and it was resolved the next day (after getting the material)

Reviews
great job, came on time, very professional, reasonable cost
John was the great and I especially appreciated his honesty and dependability
Very crisp in communication. John knew what needed to be done and how. Completed the job on time with desired results.
John's a really nice guy but he's out of his league in building a koi pond, which is what I asked for. Unfortunately, he got his instruction from Aquascape, who are notorious for misleading koi pond newbies. The pond was beautiful, we loved it, but it was WAY too small for anything but tetras and, even after just a little over a month, the pond was filthy without anything even in it! I tried to contact John on numerous occasions and was basically ghosted our told he didn't understand the issues I had with the pond dimensions, etc. He way overcharged me and didn't deliver per the specifications and failed to deliver the last of the plants I paid for and make the adjustments he said he'd make to the irrigation system he installed. Overall, a hard lesson learned and I am consulting with legal counsel.
John is a very nice guy. He responds very quickly and takes good care of our urgent situation right away. We have this huge waterfall stop working for a while and need to change to the new motor. John came to give us a quote the next day I called, came to do the job within the same week. And he also cleaned and reviving our pond to be beautiful again. These all done in two days. Good quality, very professional, very punctual, good communications. Fair price and reasonable overtime charges. Highly recommends for hiring him for landscaping and water features.
Very good service, puncture, and responsive. Good communication.
Great experience all around. High quality work, came out exactly as envisioned. Actually, better. John is extremely responsive to requests and easy to get a hold of. Answers emails, chat, and phone right away. Very accommodating with change requests and our needs to get in and out of the garage during the construction process. We had a slight delay in getting materials, but that is small in the big scheme of things. Would gladly work with him again, and will recommend to friends and neighbors. FYI, we did pavers on our front driveway and walkway with lights in the walkway. Also, laid down new sod in front yard, with new plants, too. New sprinklers, too.
Just had my front yard completely redone by Calinitelites and we love it! My Wife and I went looking for a landscaper who could also help us with design. After reviewing several proposals where we supplied a clear scope of requirements to each company we chose John Islas. His proposal was competitive and his design incorporated what we asked for in our project scope. We found John very easy to work with as well as responsive to my early morning calls to bounce around ideas and discuss possible changes that always come up in any project. During the project John several suggestions for design changes were very insightful and always added value to the project. Johns flexibility and professionalism really lent a calm to the project. Without a doubt, John and Max are extremely talented and a pleasure to work with.
John and his workers did an outstanding job. They built a three-tiered stone retaining wall, installed french drains and an area of crushed basalt, planted and added irrigation. They were timely and responsive - a pleasure to work with. John also did some trouble-shooting of my irrigation system that involved replacing a valve and installing a new soaker line.
