The service tech came to give me an estimate for a somewhat easy job of running an already established outdoor gas line to a natural gas bbq. The tech immediately started upselling me to more expensive grill and hoods and even tried to sell me a conversion kit for a natural gas grill. He was obviously “swinging” for the fences and quoted me an estimate of 2775$ that I eventually had done for 500$.

Never got back to me
They didn’t show up for the appointment. They said they were having problems with the Thumbtack app.
The guy was pretty rude over the phone to me plus it seemed to the owner their more interested in selling new units rather then repairing them
While others are asking for $150 for consultation. They send me a message explaining what my issue might be and by following their instructions I figured it out. They didn't even ask for fees beforehand. I am glad to see there are honest people out there.
