I paid this company to come to my home and provide a quote to do some electrical work. He didn’t look at any of the electrical components, check any outlets, inspect the switches I wanted altered. He also wasn’t knowledgeable of the current electrical requirements and capabilities of smart home systems. He didn’t check the attic or crawl space to determine how the electrical ran through the house and he tried to get me to change what I wanted done to make the job easier for him. He didn’t explain anything about what he planned on doing to rectify the problem I was having with my electrical. He never even went and looked at the breaker box which would have notified him that we have a solar electric system tied into our electrical work which could pose a number of issues when working on any of the components in the house. He then requested I pay him $75 for his service call. He did nothing and he wanted nearly $100. He didn’t provide a price for the work I wanted done until the next day and it was via text not a detailed proposal via email which was requested and he agreed to do. I paid $75 for him to stand around in my living room while I repeated what I told him on the phone and wrote to him in the thumbtack request. He could have done the same thing with pictures of my home. He probably makes a good amount of money showing up to peoples homes just to charge $75 and do nothing. I asked for a refund after 2 days of not getting the detailed proposal he agreed to give me and he became argumentative and accused me of wasting his time after I turn down his services. He also accused me of choosing a different company because they “probably” offered me a lower price. He refused to give me a refund partial or full. He has since become non-communicative. After reading his reviews on thumbtack I’ve come to find out that my experience was pretty par for the course. In a nutshell he charges for doing nothing. He’s not professional, and he argues with his clients often.
Excellent work and great guy all around. Charles was very professional from start to finish; he is very thorough with his work and a is great communicator. Definitely reach out to him if you need electric work around the house!
