I hired this individual for some electrical work, swayed by his amicable demeanor and apparent expertise over the phone. I did receive lower estimates from other contractors, but his assurance made me choose him for the task. He began working on the electrical panel installation and pledged to install new outlets without charging extra. Unfortunately, he couldn't complete the work in a day and had to return the following day to wrap up the tasks. I also needed my oven repaired, for which he initially quoted $350, but after some haggling, we settled on $300 and a positive review. Regrettably, that's when the real problems began. After his departure, I discovered three previously working outlets were now nonfunctional, and the newly installed ones were crooked. Worse still, the oven ceased working shortly after his repair. When contacted, he nonchalantly replied he would revisit during the inspection, exhibiting a complete lack of urgency despite our inability to cook. Furthermore, he lamented about the low price he had charged us, suggesting that justified his subpar work. We persisted, and he returned on a Friday, assuring us that he had fixed everything. However, once again, we found the same issues persisting. Our calls were met with excuses about being busy and promises to come back on Monday. His assistant kept mentioning that we were getting service at "Mexican prices", implying that we shouldn't complain. On Monday, a heated argument ensued over everything. He left without fixing it, At this point, I would categorically advise against hiring this person for any job, small or large. He lacks dependability, has an unhealthy focus on money, and blatantly indicates that the price we paid was reflective of the mediocre quality of his work. I'd strongly suggest making any payments through a platform where disputes can be raised if need be. In summary, this was a dreadful experience. We ended up hiring another electrician who was appalled at the initial work and pointed out multiple errors. Thankfully, he rectified everything for half the price. Nevertheless, we ended up paying twice because of the first electrician's inadequacy. Therefore, I strongly discourage hiring him.
We hired Clean Wave to install new 50A and an additional 120v outlets. Not only were they very responsive and quick, but they were extremely professional! I appreciated the work they put in to get the proper permits and inspections quickly. They showed up and hade everything installed and inspected in less than one week from when I first posted my job! To know the job is done and done right, in addition to the additional work and explanation they provided to ensure my existing electrical was up to code and explained is invaluable to me. It looks fantastic, too! Thank you Steve, Dennis and crew!!
