I was recently looking to hire a carpenter to remove some exterior old wooden stairs leading to the attic . I will admit I don’t have much knowledge when it comes to such things as a first time home owner. I am still learning lol. I was scrolling on thumbtack and found Daniel carpentry. From reading some of the reviews they were positive and the photos as well . I had reached out to Mr Daniel and was instantly replied back in a timely manner. I had asked him for a quote in which he said he would stop by and take a look at the stair case The exterior wood stairs I did not know if some needed to be replaced or all due to the previous harsh winter we had last year. All I know was I wanted it done professionally and safe. When he had arrived he looked at the stair case and advised that it would be better to replace the stair case along with the platform. The quote was reasonable and the quality of the work and the attention to detail was outstanding when it was completed. I was highly impressed. He communicated with me throughout the entire process and took great care in his work and keeping me updated if any changes needed to happen. Once the work was finished the materials were all cleaned from the house and nothing was missed from what was discussed when talking about this project. He is a nice person and I will reach back out to him in the near future for more work and would highly recommend him to any one that is looking for a carpenter.

I hired Daniel to put up a new balcony railing. He said he could do that’s he was an expert. I told him I wanted red oak wood. I also wanted the staircase railing red oak. After it was polyurethane it didn’t seem right. I learned the he used hemlock wood instead of the oak.I called him very upset he did come back and replace the staircase railing red oak. I asked him why on his own that he decided to use hemlock wood instead of oak. Hi reply was I thought it would look better. I said you decided on your own without consulting me the homeowner you just went ahead and did it anyways.I said we agreed on red oak not hemlock he just said ok ok . Why would someone use hemlock post and rail and use red oak for the balusters. This is not what I wanted. At first I thought it was ok but after looking at it it looks awful.i feel he was trying to save a few dollars by using the cheapest materials. As you can see totally different. Also I paid him extra to all urethane the job you did a sloppy job and I had to redo it myself. I’m 70 years old and I didn’t have time to do this. That’s why I asked him to and I ended up doing it myself anyway.
I had a window with very rotten trim on my house. Daniel removed all impacted trim, installed new insulation, and rebuilt and resealed the trim around the window. He had to work around a HVAC compressor to do so. He came within 48 hours and was kind, professional, communicative, and skilled. Thank you, Daniel and team!
Daniel helped us removed a broken gas fireplace and then repaired the whole section, including floor, walls, framing, insulation. He came last minute, worked until the job was done, and gave us a fully finished area to paint over! I would definitely recommend Daniel for multi-need projects

Daniel built us a new staircase and it came out beautifully! This was a challenging project because the stair treads were an odd size and shape and each one was different from another. Daniel advised me on which materials to get and explained how treads would have to be glued together to look the way I wanted them to. I was nervous about that but Daniel did such a great job that you can’t tell that the wood has joins. It’s incredible! I am so grateful for Daniel and the beautiful work he did. He was responsive, punctual and professional, got the job done quickly and was a pleasure to work with. Thanks Daniel!!

The carpentry work was done well and exactly what I had in mind. However, they left a mess of dust behind after each day of work and had no barrier set up to protect other rooms from the dust. The finishing work was also rushed and the paint job was subpar and messy. 4 stars because the woodwork was done well, -1 star because of all the dust and mess left behind and because of the rushed and poor paint work.
Had a great experience with Daniel. I needed a stacked cabinet installed. Daniel and Richard were very responsive to my request. There was some existing trim that had to be removed which they found a way to do. Their attention to detail is very noteworthy and they are also very communicative. High quality work at a fair price. Will recommend Daniel to anyone that requires carpentry work done!
Daniel and his assistant made a table for me to my exact measurements and copied a photo that I had given them. The result was I got exactly what I asked for and within 48 hours of contracting them they were knowledgeable, professional and met the time commitments they set. I definitely hire them again, and have no reservations about recommending them to others.

After I had a very bad experience and rough time with a previous carpenter, Daniel and his team saved me. They completed my cabinet assembly and installation. They showed up and get the job done. I was very happy with the work they did. I will hire them again 200% to complete the kitchen renovation project and my future projects, like my closets and baseboards etc. His team communicated with me to ensure all goes well. He even returned on a short notice to remove my door frame so the countertop could be installed! They also have great energy, and was happy doing their job. I highly recommended them!
