About DH1 Construction
DH1 Construction helps homeowners remodel kitchens and bathrooms, build and repair decks and stairs, and complete framing and carpentry projects across Seattle, Burien, Renton, Tacoma, and the Eastside. We also handle basement remodels, whole home renovations, additions, and ADUs. Owners Dwain Williams and Adrian Herah bring a practical approach to each project: understand the work, confirm the details, and provide a clear written proposal. We coordinate the work, keep you informed, and treat your property with care. Changes to the agreed scope are explained and documented before the additional work begins. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured Washington general contractor. View our completed projects and customer reviews, then send us a brief description of your project, its location, and a few photos. We’ll discuss the next step and arrange a site visit when needed.

Dwain and AJ did a high quality job to fix our ant-damaged outside stairs and added a much-needed hand rail. They are a pleasure to work with and talented!
They did a wonderful job installing my gazebo. They were early on time and organized. They had all the tools to get the job done. I will continue to use them for upcoming projects. I would recommend them to anyone
They were very responsive and timely. The work was quality. When it rained soon after they stained the deck the messaged me back to make sure that everything had cured still. The cared enough about the quality to verify it was still good. I really appreciated that.
I contacted DH1 about doing work in my commercial warehouse to close a wall that we share with the neighboring tenant. While they did show up and give me a bid, the estimate did NOT include any permits that the city of Kent requires when doing work to an existing commercial structure. After 2 weeks of waiting for a response, DH1 finally told me they wanted to pass on the job, after I requested permits per my building manager. I would not hire them if your job possibly requires permits from the city, as they don't seem to have the knowledge to obtain those.
I had Dwain and his crew install some leftover flooring in my upstairs bathrooms. I can't say enough about the professionalism and timeliness of the work. I'm very pleased overall and would recommend them to my closest friends and family, along with all of you on Thumbtack.
Initially reached out to Dwain for a deck repair. Ended up working on 2 projects: deck repair and egress window. Dwain and his team was professional and punctual. Dwain was willing to work within my budget. See pictures for the egress window (before and after). The deck repair is still in progress (see pictures). I recommend Dwain and his team for house projects.
GHW team were great to work with. Will use again for other work! We are very happy with all the work they did. Also, they were very respectful to our needs in timing and closing off the space since we were living there during the remodel with an infant. Thank you!
Adrian and crew were punctual and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely hire them again!
Would highly recommend this company!!! Exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled! If you want a job done right call these guys!!! So very pleased!!
GHW started work on building my shed today. They are so pleasant and professional. It unexpectedly started to rain hard, and they immediately covered all the wood to keep it from getting too wet. They will be back to finish the job soon. I look forward to continuing working with them.
Amazing work- I'm so impressed. They were knowledgeable about the project and all that went into it. Super fun to have around and fast!
Super punctual, professional, and friendly.
This team is great. Hard workers. Even volunteering to work over a weekend to make a deadline
