DigitalWhims

Working with Denny was pleasant and successful. At first I was not sure this was the right choice because I assumed Digital Whims was a local company. I admit that after shipping my tapes to CA I was a bit apprehensive whether I would see them again, but it all worked out very well. Denny kept in touch with me. The tapes were returned along with flash drives containing the digitized home movies. Tapes were marked by number to match the digitized version on the flash drives. All of that worrying for nothing because now I have to find a way to recycle the tapes since I don't need them anymore.

Denny at DigitalWhims made a Dream come true. I had him transfer a 16mm reel to reel into a digital format. I'm thrilled with the final results. I highly recommend him for photo and media work.

Denny was very personable and helpful. Great prices! I waited to write this review until I watched and listened to all the tapes. They were fabulous! I'd forgotten a lot and saw sketches my kids did without me knowing. Thank you for your work, Denny, and for the quick turn-around!

Dennis is a great guy, and knows his craft. Doesn’t overcharge. I would do business with him again and again.

Denny was fast, professional, and affordable in digitizing an old 8mm reel I had. The result was better than I expected and was able to share with family. I would certainly use his services again!

DigitalWhims performed exceptionally well. I was under a tight deadline and required the VHS tapes to be converted to digital format promptly. He responded swiftly to my inquiry and completed the task in a timely manner. I will certainly utilize this service again.

Would 100% recommend Denny for any digital project. I had a bankers box full of materials, including old albums, slides, VHS tapes and DVDs. He was able to take all of that and again extremely reasonable price put it on a thumb drive for me. He also has a cloud back up. It was so much better than using one of the commercial services I see advertise.

I had over 50 tapes completed and Denny was very communicative throughout. I was very pleased with the end product and would not hesitate to use his services again or refer his services.

Denny was awesome during this cumbersome process. He scanned over a thousand photos and he provided feedback and kept me updated through the process. All my childhood photos were well taken care of and will give my mother a nice Christmas gift. Thank you to Denny for all your help!

Denny is extraordinarily kind and helpful. He helped me with a difficult photo project and a bargain price. I highly recommend his services.

Unfortunately, the photos that were the most damaged were not improved much, and colorizing them did not improve the quality. One photo I had worked on months ago and was better quality than the one I received from DigitalWhims. One blurry photo was still blurry - no change. I was disappointed. Very nice gentleman, but perhaps my project was more than he could handle successfully. Really like the gentleman, but not impressed with his work.

I recently had a fantastic experience working with Digital Whims to scan some old photos and pictures for me. From start to finish, he was professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly careful with my original prints. The quality of the scans was outstanding—crisp, clear, and color-accurate. He even took the time to organize the digital files in a way that made it super easy to access and share with my family. On top of that, he’s very polite and respectful. What really impressed me was how he returned the physical photos even better than I gave them to him—neatly organized, making it so easy to store them back at home. It’s rare to find someone who treats your memories with such genuine care. Sometimes, going through old photos can bring up grief and sorrow, especially when remembering loved ones we’ve lost. But working with Digital Whims turned that process into a celebration of life, helping me honor and preserve those memories in a meaningful way. I’m truly grateful, and I highly recommend his services!

I was completely blown away at the beauty of my restored pictures. It was as if they had been brought back to life. One picture had all the edges torn and Denny was able to repair the picture to what looks like its original state. There was also a picture of my Grandmother that was so small and Denny was able to make it bigger and not lose any quality. I had to take a train to work after Denny gave me the restore pictures and flash drive, I almost broke down. Thank you so much Denny, I am beyond satisfied.

I needed an old polaroid of my Dad and me on my 5th birthday restored and enlarged in time for Christmas. Less, than a week before, I reached out to Denny and he responded immediately and said if I could get the photo to him right away he could get the job done! Because we were in different parts of the Bay Area, I sent my photo priority mail. But even with the delay in mailing time back and forth, Denny was able to beautifully restore the photo and send me both color and black-and-white photos in different sizes and I received them in time to shop for frames for my Dad and myself 2 days before Christmas! Denny was personable and the cost was very reasonable..highly recommend his services!
