The playlist perfectly matched the mood of each moment, from background tracks during dinner to high-energy dance mixes that kept everyone on the floor all night. The sound quality and transitions were flawless, and DJ Celis was great at reading the crowd and adjusting the tempo when needed. DO NOT HIRE!!! I was very disappointed in the performance, appearance, and lack of professionalism of DJ Cellis. I booked him for my retirement party, and I explained to him in several emails the importance of being on time and the attire for the party. Furthermore, I went in depth explaining that this is a military retirement and as such, he needed to play certain music (National Anthem, Marines hymn) at specific times during the ceremony. I even sent him the music. DJ Cellis arrived 13 minutes before the start time of my event, despite saying he would be there 2 hours ahead of time. He had to set up while my guests were already there. In an effort to not delay my ceremony further, my husband and another one of my guest had to help him bring in his equipment and get set up. DJ Cellis also showed up in shorts, T-shirt, and I think slippers when I explicitly informed him that my celebration attire would be business casual. My ceremony started late, he did not play all the ceremonial music, one of my guest had to coach him through the ceremony. His microphone did not work properly. He basically ruined my ceremony. For the reception, his music selection was horrible. He was not taking much requests from my family, although he said he would. There were long pauses between each songs. It was as if this was his first time working as a DJ. He was boring. He did not know how to read the room. He did not recognize that no one liked most of his selection even when we told him. I was the host and he only played 2 songs that I requested. I was very upset and disappointed. He was not worth the money we paid him. At the end of the party, when it was time to go. My family and I cleaned up the venue, we were ready to go, but the DJ took is sweet slow time breaking down his equipment. He did nothing right that night. Such a disappointment.
DJ Cellis saved the day! Responded and committed immediately! Loved his personality, energy and professionalism. He played everyone's requests and lit up the place with his lights! We'll definitely be using him again!
