This post cost me $1500. Dong is a nice dude, and admittedly, there is a language barrier. But he should in no way be doing plumbing. He sounded knowledgeable when we spoke. I hired him to replace a diverting valve in my bathroom. After collecting $1500 for ongoing work, he left the house in worse shape than when he came. Customer supplied valve was cross threaded and leaking water through the ceiling onto electrical appliances on the first floor which shocked my nanny who walked then the puddle. The second floor is a mess. The pictures below were talked the day he never came back. Just walked away from the job. His response to this is going to say something about me firing him. I did not fire him. I asked him if he was in over his head and he quietly quit thereafter. Do better dong.

I recently hired this company for some work in my home, including installing a bathroom exhaust fan, removing and closing off an old kitchen exhaust fan, and installing a new under-cabinet range hood. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He was super professional, responded in 15 minutes to my message at 5:45 on a Saturday evening, and was finished doing a wonderful job by 7:30 the same day. I had misread the directions on my Amazon TV stand and he came to help right away. Arrived at 6:50 and was done within the hour with a 5-star experience. Dong is a nice person, however I was very unsatisfied with his work. I sent him pictures is the job and he gave me a quote for the work. When he arrives at my home, he initially doubled what the work would cost. I countered with the quote from another contractor and he agreed to do the work for thar amount. He used the wrong paint finish, the paint job was unacceptable, and he couldn’t find the paint for another small area to be painted that was included in the quote. I asked for the receipt for the supplies he purchased and he gave me a receipt for Lowes when he purchased the supplies from Home Depot. I will purchase the correct paint finish and paint the wall myself. He indicated that he was trying to save me money, and the job really was more expensive than what I paid. I would and could have paid more for better work!
