Reviews
Alert ! Don’t get scammed ! I have multiple investment properties. I have never written a bad review on the multitude of contractors I hired in over 40 years. I feel compelled to protect others from E&D Roofing. I had an old roof that DID NOT leak. I wanted to be proactive and replace it before there were issues. E&D installed a new flat roof with a 10 year warranty. He left the 30 year old flashing. The contract called for installing a EPDM rubber roof system. Instead he used rolled asphalt (a cheaper roof) As soon as it was installed , it leaked in several places into a 90 year old tenants apartment. I gave “Nick” 4 times to repair it. He said he had no idea why it was leaking. It took multiple calls and texts to get him back. I waited several days to over a week for him to attempt to repair it each time it leaked. The last time he was a no-show. I called in other professionals. I was informed he improperly installed it and it was done by someone inexperienced. He went over 2 layers of existing roof which is against code. E&D cut into the flashing and nailed thru the old roof causing large amounts of water to accumulate and leak into my property causing damage where there was no leak before. In addition he improperly attempted to repair a12 car garage roof. He used torch down on the seams of that roof. The contract called to do all seems. He did a small portion of the seams yet charged me the full amount. Torch down cannot be applied to a rolled asphalt roof. Many of the seams he did are coming off after a month I am asking for a refund on the main roof job and will absorb the cost of the garage if it is refunded quickly. He agreed to refund 1/2 but then reneged on it I definitely was scammed. I was told by others in the field my experience is not an isolated incident. I am now spending valuable time trying to get restitution. I will continue to do so and do whatever it takes. Thumbtack has become involved has been helpful. Craig Silver
By showing up to the appointment. Absolutely rude. Never showed up to the appointment or called. Two thumbs down!!
Nick was very professional and his job was excellent
BEWARE - He estimated $1,500 to repair a roof. He tried to overstate the time it took to complete the job ( 1.5 days to fix a repair) to validate the estimate. Caught him lying and he got defensive. He was both dishonest and tried to rip me off. He needs to adopt a better attitude and be more honest. BEWARE!
Nick really helped us out when our roof started leaking. He was incredibly responsive, professional, and quoted us a very fair price. If I have any additional roofing issues, I will definitely be calling Nick. Can't recommend E&D Roofing highly enough!
Nick gave expert help and was able to fix the leak swiftly.
Nick came out same day we spoke and found the issue with my skylight. He explained everything in detail and gave us our options. He was able to fix the issue right there and then at a reasonable price. Nick also followed up next day which speaks volumes to my family and I. Thank you Nick.
Nick was quick to respond, offered a reasonable estimate and was available to complete the job quickly. He was very professional and I appreciated his thoroughness.
We had some shingle work that needed to be repaired. Nick was quick to respond and find time in his schedule for a quick and quality repair.
