I hired Ego Movers to handle the move for our 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. What they don’t make clear upfront is that they subcontract the work to other companies—in our case, to a company called Best Moving LLC. The movers were extremely slow as compared to other moving services we’ve used in the past. Several pieces of our furniture were damaged during the move. When I reached out to address the issue, they shifted blame and claimed we asked them not to wrap the furniture. While we did request they speed things up and minimize excessive wrapping, that certainly did not mean no protection at all. Although they waived the advertised $89 truck fee, you end up paying more anyway because of how inefficient they are. If you’re considering Ego Movers, I would strongly urge you to ask who will actually be doing the job and proceed with caution. Our experience was frustrating and disappointing.
