Paid in full; same leak returned within four months; warranty requests ignored On June 24, 2026, I paid Empire Roofing’s Frankie Nicklas $1,600 in full via Zelle for a rubber roof layover at my Philadelphia rental property. He completed the work and provided a written 10-year warranty covering labor and materials. On October 11—less than four months later—water was leaking through the ceiling in the same spot again. I contacted Frankie, offered full access, and made it clear I was happy to schedule an inspection at a time that worked for him. NO REPLY, see screenshots of bill, fake warranty and my messages I paid in full, the same leak returned, and my repeated requests for warranty service went unanswered. I would not hire him again.

Grossly overpriced, I asked the guy for an itemized receipt, turns out labor was $4500 lol for a 2 hour job?? Yeah do yourself a favor and hire someone else. 2 things I can't stand a liar and a thief and this guy is both. 0 stars.

Better customer service when there is a concern with repairs that were done and told that their work would fix your problem. Less than 6 months later same issue happens. When its reported to the company it takes weeks upon weeks to get a response, then more weeks to address your issues they said their work would fix. Thank God i found out before i put up the new drywall.

They did the job, quoted me way more than discussed. I was like fine, it’ll be a one time thing and got it done. 2 months in and the deck starts leaking again. It’s been almost 3months since I reached out for help to come look at it. The deck has 10+ years warranty. I have been begging to come look at it bc I spent 3.5k on this man and his company. Literally the worst at replying. He won’t even bother to reply. Trust me and go with someone else!

Frank told me what needed to be done, then he gave me scoop of work and pricing in got straight to work the next day with 100% completion. Most of all Frank stayed onsite with his workers until the work was completed which is always GOOD. And followed up with me throughout the whole installment.

Frankie quoted $1250 to fix 2 leaks. I paid him $625 to start the work. He said he can start right away, but it was going to rain later so I asked him to wait. He said he can still do the job rain or shine. He finished the job and I paid him for his work. It rained later and the leaks were still there. I told him that the leak wasn’t fixed. He told me that is was residual rain that got stuck that needs to be drained. That sounds impossible. I asked him to return to fix the leak since there is a 6 month guarantee. He said that requires me to pay $20000 for a roof rip up and a rebuild. This went back and forth for a month. He tried to convince me that I need a new roof. The roof is in worse shape after he left. The pictures were taken 1 week after Frankie supposedly fixed the leaks on the roof. Look at the damages to the ceiling!! It started with a small water drops to the ceiling about to cave in after he left and I’m $1250 broke. I think he just went up to the roof and made it worse so that I have to get a new roof. He said he will pay me back when he gets paid because the damages are worse than he left it. He is now missing and I am taking him to small claims court for the damages. He is a fraud!!!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM. He will damage your roof more and tell you that you need a new roof!! Or just rip you off!!! --------------- Update: He is now contacting me (June 19, 2024), trying to call me. I hired him March 8, 2024. The paperwork is filed. I already had the roof fixed by another company in April for $1000. I am suing him for the $1250, damages, grief, and time wasted. If you're smart, you should refund me the $1250 through CashApp or pay more later through the court for the all the damages, stress, time, court filing fees, and transportation. The damages to the ceiling costs me more than $1250. So see you in court in a few months or refund me.

Where do I begin ......first and foremost this company is horrible. It's been a yr and change since I did business with them. The guy in picture named Frank and his kid is the reason I went with him in the first place.....me being naive thinking he's a hard working honest family man. Okay he quoted me a price for entire roof replacement....I told him oh somebody else gave me a better price ....he immediately dropped off a couple thousand lower than other company....red flag but I was naive once again. Okay told me job would take a couple days Okay cool. In actuality took him and his three man crew including himself about a day and a half on just the front roof and back roof of my home. Third day his whole crew came out to do main roof ....they knocked it out in 2hr 20 minutes.....what he actually did was subcontract the job to some other roofing guys who where actual professional s ....He had been telling me from the jump oh it looks bad around your chimney I won't know for sure untill I get up there ....so of course to repair chimney is another ridiculous amount of money ....when nothing special was done just new flashing tin around base of chimney.....after some investigation I realized this dude is trying to rip me off big time ....I called and told him I'm not paying you another dime your trying to rip me off. We met up he's telling me all this crap long story short we signed off on contract paid in full and that was it .....so I thought ....roofed looked beautiful....didn't rain for about three weeks....then came a storm with heavy to moderate rain for two days ....It was a Friday picked my kids up from school get home ready to enjoy weekend. I happened to look up at ceiling and see water spots .....my heart skipped beats ....can't even disscribe the mixed emotions I was feeling. Called Frank asap oh you didn't pay me all you owed so good luck with that. I reminded him I have signed contract and an attorney on stand by .....finally after a sob story he and one guy Arti i believe his name is came out and basically caulked the base of my windows on roof line ....next storm expanding water spots called him back .....gave me a song and dance and never came back to my property to repair 4 month old leaking roof .....dont do business with this guy you will regret it

Called us right back very friendly Seemed knowledgeable. Explained collars and boots are something his company does all the time. flat rate 200 per collar and boot replacement total 600.00 He arrives explains to wife and I its a bigger job things need to be removed realigned reinstalled he needs 400 more we accept thinking he is going to replace everything. I get home from work he sends us before and after pictures he pasted around 3 collars and caulked the cracked rubber boots. Nothing new installed they were here 1.5 hrs lied about the entire job until after it was complete provided photos as if I'm not gonna notice nothing is new. Now i need to hire another company to come rip this crap off and repair it correctly Shady, lying, thieves. But no worries Angelo I stopped payment on your check I also reported you to Nj dept of commerce
