TV died at 10p, so i jumped on thumbtack to find a repair. left a message for Evans Electronic Service. i thought for sure it would be a day or 2 before i got a response. then another day or 2 to get the service scheduled. i couldn't have been more wrong. Walter messaged me by 8a the next morning, and at 10a, he was at my house ready to do the job. he diagnosed the issue and had my TV fixed in about half an hour. his rate was reasonable too for a house call - doubley so since it was 12 hours from my initial inquiry.
Walter worked on my tv but could not solve the problem at my home. He took the tv to his shop, found the problem, ordered a part, completed the repair and reinstalled my tv. Works fine now.

I do not recommend using Mr. Evans for TV repair. I dropped off my television with the leg pedestals, which were never returned. When asked about them, Mr. Evans casually suggested they might be "in the truck" (which clearly means he kept them). The original issue was only with the LED lighting strip, but when I got the TV back, the screen was completely ruined — it now has lines running across it in two directions. To make matters worse, I was told upfront the repair cost would be $120, but when my father picked it up, the total suddenly became $126. This was a disappointing and unprofessional experience. I paid $126 for a TV that came back in worse condition than when I dropped it off. If you value your money and your equipment, I strongly advise against using this repair service.
Walter is absolutely amazing! I had a 75" Skyworth that needed backlights, however the parts would of taken 2-3 weeks to arrive. He immediately offered a replacement. So, I chose to purchase a 65" Sony from him (he offers a 45 day guarantee). I encountered a problem with that replacement. Walter was quick to bring me another TV. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of! I also need to add that he drove to my house each time. Walter is super cool in my book. I highly recommend his services 🙏🏼
Mr. Evans replaced the back-lights on our 70in' Vizio T.V. They had gone out and he was able to promptly repair it for a reasonable price. He even took the time to uncrinkle a back section that we hadn't pointed out. He was very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Mr. Evans for any T.V. and electronic repair.
