About Expert👨🏾🎓Fun🤣Calculus Tutoring!
Hi...!!! Thank you for exploring your tutoring options here... I'd love to help you... If your student is struggling with AP Calculus, I can help...!!! I help AP Calculus students visualize what's going on instead of just solving for x or y... I first began tutoring in 1981 as an electrical engineering major at Virginia Tech... I embraced a motto shared by a professor there: "KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID...!!!" Taking this advice to heart I've always strived to explain concepts in easy to understand terms... I've been tutoring math, science, and test preparation regularly since 2004... I've been a middle school and high school math teacher, teaching pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus... Most recently, I tutored those subjects as well as engineering, physics, and statistics as a higher education staff member at Guilford Technical Community College, Guilford College, and High Point University in North Carolina. I get a rush when I see students 'get it'... A frequent compliment from parents is that their child understands concepts clearly for the first time after working with me, I make things seem easy, and I make sessions fun... So, let's chat soon...!!! I'd love to help your student ace their AP Calculus course and score high on the AP Calculus exam in May...!!!

Mr. Williams is an excellent tutor. He goes above and beyond to ensure his students learn.
Derek is an excellent tutor. My daughter was preparing for her finals in Calculus and found herself struggling in a few areas. She was stressed and nervous since her test was only about 1 week away. She was very excited after her first tutoring session that she rushed down the stairs to tell my wife and I how much better she understands everything and how Derek simplified things for her tremendously. She was so happy at her final score 86 out of 87! All thanks to Derek. Thank you very much sir. We will definitely be looking forward to working with you in the future. 🙏
We have tried several tutors and programs, and my daughter said this is the first time someone has been able to explain it to her in language that actually makes her understand Calculus! I love that he also sends recaps of their session recordings, so my daughter can review before tests, or if questions on future homework. Tons of flexibility on timing too - appreciate it!
My daughter is understanding the material by how Mr Williams explains it to her
Derek has quickly become a part of my daughter’s senior year! He’s engaging, funny and my daughter enjoys learning from him. I highly recommend him to any student (and parent) and look forward to my daughter working with Derek throughout her senior year!
