About Exquisite Finishing
Exquisite Finishing is a family-run cabinet finishing and custom woodworking shop in Loveland, Colorado, run by myself, my father, and my brother. We're not just cabinet painters. We're finishers. That means sprayed, factory-quality results with a smooth, durable finish you won't get from a brush-and-roller job, plus the ability to do true stain and pigmented finishes that most painters can't offer. With a real woodworking background behind every project, we can refinish, reface, and repair, not just recoat. We work with both homeowners and contractors, and we treat every kitchen as its own custom project. We stand behind our work too: every finish is fully insured and backed by a 10-year warranty, so you can trust it'll hold up for years. If you want your cabinets to look like they came from a custom shop instead of painted in place, we'd love to take a look at your project.

Clay does beautiful work! We had some pretty niche things we wanted (floating shelves for a book book and something that would close the gap between our refrigerator and cabinets) and he was able to listen to a (likely not great) description of what we wanted and bring it to life. The results are even better than I could have imagined! He’s also a very kind and thoughtful human. Would recommend Clay to anyone anytime!
They were so wonderful to work with and treated our home like it was their own!
I hired Exquisite Finishing to resurface my cabinets and complete some trim work that needed to be added to the existing cabinets. I was so impressed by Clay (the owner) and his attention to detail. He pointed out all the details that would make the job go from good to excellent. Some minor cabinet repairs and shoe molding made the list for things I thought were worth tackling as part of this project. I can not tell you enough about how well they prepped the work site. Every little bit of kitchen was covered except the cabinet frames. Then, they created a plastic tent to enclose the area, followed by an exhaust fan being placed in the window. They spray the cabinet doors off site and spray the cabinet frames in place. After 4 coats of finish, and TONS of prep work, they completed the cabinets. Next, Clay installed the hardware with precision. It really finished off the project. We went from a dark cherry stain to a beautiful green gray in a matter of days. I am so thrilled with the outcome.
The quality of the work by Clay and his professionalism won me over. He was not my lowest bid but I trusted my gut and was not disappointed. I highly recommend him. This is our second home and not a huge project but he treated it as a priority. He painted cabinets and added shiplap to the counter seating area.
We let the company take care of all our bathrooms and kitchen paintings. Their work quality is amazing, the cleanliness excellent, the value better than expected (like new), great quality work from both Clay as well as Travis. They both have a lot of experience and work seamlessly together as a team towards their customer. In the future we will come back to them when we need any additional painting inside the home, a high Performance job well done!
We would highly recommend Clay to anyone wanting to refinish their Kitchen. He listens to what you want and will go above and beyond to help you attain your desired outcome. He is very detailed and also took time to ensure everything was covered and protected before he started working on the cabinets. I would recommend Clay if you want an honest, respectful, and quality person in your home. I posted some before and after photos. We have received so many positive comments. Thank you so much Clay for your time and hard work!
Clay was so thorough and did an excellent job. I do a lot of my own refinishing projects so I know full well when someone is cutting corners or not. And Clay did not. Excellent attention to detail. He worked hard with me to get the absolute perfect color and completed the job in a timely manner. I LOVE how my cabinets turned out!!!
We worked with Clay from Exquisite Finishing. We love our new kitchen!! He worked with us to refinish our kitchen cabinets. They look great!! Getting bids to have work completed can be very frustrating and to say the least confusing. Clay came to our house estimated our job and made us feel very comfortable with his knowledge and expertise in completing the work. He is very professional and not at all pushy. We scheduled the job and it was completed within the time frame we expected. He kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up when he left. I would truly recommend him to anyone needing this kind of work.
Clay painted our kitchen cabinets white, and did a fantastic job! He delivered quality work in a timely manner. He was very friendly and easy to work with. We would use him again, and highly recommend him!
