Where do I start. I got these movers based on the good reviews posted here. They damaged my furniture. My sofa is ripped on the side and on the bottom. My desk paint is all scratched up. After noticing these damages and before payment, I told the movers of the damage which they acknowledged. The broker called me and did not even acknowledge the damage instead continued to tell me what my total was and how to pay it. This was after the broker was notified of the situation and was told to speak to me. I confronted the broker myself of the damage to which he said to make an insurance claim. I have been calling him all morning today and no response. He picked up and hung up on me. DO NOT GET THESE MOVERS if you want your furniture damaged and no response from anyone after.
Their name says it all—they made moving a super heavy table to the second story of my home effortless. The movers were polite and respectful and got it done quickly.
BEWARE. Classic bait-and-switch scam. Stay far away. I was quoted $93/hour for TWO movers. Sounds reasonable, right? That’s how they get you. They arrived an hour late, and midway through the move (from Huntington Beach to San Clemente), Jay casually mentions he “brought another guy,” himself so now it’s a 3-man crew — no prior notice, no approval, no revised quote. Just slipped it in like I was supposed to eat the cost. Then it gets worse. As soon as we arrive in San Clemente, Jay looks at TEN stairs and suddenly says, “Now it’s going to be $150/hour.” Mind you — my pickup location ALSO had an elevator and stairs, which he knew about in advance and had zero issue with earlier. Funny how that only becomes a problem when my belongings are already on the truck. When I pushed back and asked if the higher rate was just for the stairs, he threatened to leave my belongings downstairs unless I agreed. That’s not a price change — that’s hostage behavior. To top it off: ❌ No proof of insurance ❌ Broke a lamp, didn’t mention it, didn’t apologize, just left it ❌ Constant pressure and intimidation tactics once the move was underway The owner, Jay, is the entire problem. Unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory. If you value transparency, basic ethics, or not being cornered mid-move, DO NOT hire this company. There are plenty of movers out there — this is not one of the good ones. SCAM! The last movers were two people and it took less time with the same belongings
If you’re looking for a great moving company EZ movers knocked it out of the park. Jay responded to my texts in a timely matter and was honest about pricing and accurate with his time estimate. Jay and his partner worked from the minute they showed up until the job was completed. I would not hesitate to use EZ Movers again.
Jessie and his are rude, unprofessional and used vulgar language and caused significant damage to my furniture. I contacted Jesse to make a complaint and he was worse on the phone! His employees were cursing the entire time while my daughter and mother were in the house, this is not acceptable behavior and on top of that, they caused significant damage to my furniture! There are tears in my sofabed, my dresser has been hit on each corner and the dining table leg is missing a large piece of wood! This is unacceptable behavior and he should be suspended from any further projects until I receive a refund for all the damages on my furniture!
When I contacted EZ Movers they were prompt in responding when coordinating the project. Based on this and the overall rating for this company I scheduled them to move a desk, bookcase, and some small tables among a few other items. The moving crew were friendly and got everything moved, but on inspection after they had unloaded the bookcase specifically it had sustained significant damage to the finish with numerous large scratches, see the pics, it was obvious that a furniture blanket had not been used when moving this piece. Furthermore the crew did not tell me about the damage, but I had seen the ripped plastic and informed them. One of them told me that it's no problem and the owner can easily repair the damage. At the time they called the owner and informed him, but I have yet to hear from him.
I feel lucky to find EZ movers Jesse to assist me with this moving, within timely and professional manner. Price is unbeatable and communication is throughout. Thank you Jesse
