I was hopeful that a single consult would give me the colors I needed, and David delivered. He listened to my ideas and then met me and challenged further color inspiration. He delivered on my expectations and I feel confident proceeding with the color testing patches, ready for the painter. I don’t have any anxiety about my choices or those of my color-blind husband (literally)!

About Fernalld Design
I have been in the design business for over 25 years now and have first hand knowledge with interior design, architecture, remodel, construction and faux finishing. I've either owned or worked for companies with these practices and specifically, my knowledge for residential design came from working with the top interior designers in Houston and Miami. This knowledge gives me an edge over other designers who may not have had the opportunity to work within the fields of architecture and construction. My focus is helping the client with space planning and floor plan layout, design options, potential renovation challenges, color consultation, choosing materials and surfaces and guiding the client through contractor and construction challenges. For the fee that a client would pay for standard interior design, they receive a broader knowledge base and experience when they select me for their project. I get great satisfaction when my client realizes that there are better options to a design challenge than they would have ever considered before hiring me. To see the "I would never have thought of that" expression on their face and the renewed spirit that the client gains is my goal to client satisfaction. To have their trust in me to lead them through to the conclusion and their gratitude for the outcome is the reason I enjoy my work so much.

I was planning a kitchen remodel and was stuck on some key issues. David was great at walking me through planning out the details. From the big layout issue is couldn't visualize, to the color of the drawer pulls, he assisted with it all. I have so much more direction and can move forward with my remodel with much less anxiety! I would definitely use him again if I am remodeling or redoing any house again. Thanks!
Called Fernalld when I became stuck in some redecorating and design projects. He saved us from making a big financial mistake with our new floors and some furniture mishaps. Really appreciated his input and ideas. Was incredibly helpful on getting me back on the right track. Highly recommend.
David has great insights and has competently guided me in selections that make my home feel more comfortable, homey, and beautiful. I can't wait until it's all done! On top of his talent, David is just a great person to get to know. I always enjoy talking with him and look forward to our meetings.
Talking through color options with David was really great. He was informative and engaged, but waited for me to share my thoughts and concerns vs. forcing his ideas into the conversation. Would definitely work with him again!
David had been wonderful in helping us re think a kitchen remodel. We went in clueless and now feel confident with his help. Looking forward to seeing the final product! (Photos to come.)
David was very punctual & professional. We needed help fast & he came out on a Sunday & had plans to us within a day or two. We are still in the middle of the project but you can see the before, during, (which is now) & the future vision David helped us bring to fruition. Our projects are just beginning & I will definitely keep using David Fernalld to help me along the way. I’ll try & remember to post the next stage & final pictures when project is complete. Loving it so far!
We hired David for a whole house remodel last November. What he brought to the project was invaluable to us. Not only did he help us with redesigning the layout of the kitchen, he acted as the super on the entire project, overseeing the general contractor and his crew. He was able to spot mistakes I would have missed and since he has architectural / construction experience, he was able to guide them when they had questions or were considering the 'easy' way to do things that may not have looked so nice. I have a background in art and design, I love color and patterns. David challenged me to be even bolder with some of my choices. There were a few areas where I was wanting to 'play it safe' and I'm so glad I didn't because the final finish is simply breathtaking.
David provides a very personal touch to his services. He truly listens to what his clients wants and needs are and then adds his personal and professional touch to their design. He's not afraid to encourage you to push through your design fears, and, as a result, provide you with an amazing design. You will quickly make a new friend in this designer! Highly recommend him!
