Carlos did an amazing job with our drywall patching. He promptly replied to the quote, provided an estimate and upon approval scheduled the job. I had to get it done within a couple of days and he was able to squeeze me in. His quote was extremely competitive. His work was stellar. I can’t say enough about his professionalism - wore boot covers, covered the work area well, patiently completed the drywall repair and cleaned up the work area after completion. When I said I’ll do the painting myself, he even gave me discount from the original quote. I mean who does that these days!!!! He will be my go to guy for most things now. Amazing craftsmanship. Carlos was excellent, excellent, excellent! He came last minute to do some drywall work in our ceiling in our new house and he absolutely crushed it! He did such a good job. It doesn’t even look like there was any damage in our ceiling. Thank you so much Carlos we will be using you again in the future for sure!!

Outstanding work by Carlos and team. From the moment we contacted him to the final delivery of the kitchen project, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with them. It was a complete kitchen project - from demolition to cabinet install, electricity changes due to oven move and fridge move, plumbing issues to be taken care along the way, cabinet install, final touch up. Carlos and team dealt any upcoming/unforeseen challenges with professionalism and courtesy. They kept me informed about any changes to the cost because of expanding scope. Overall, a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend

First Strike did tremendous work helping us handle some repair work following a water damage issue. Amazing work quality and responsiveness.
Pros: Arrived promptly and was well-equipped with tools and materials. Cons: The quality of the work did not meet professional standards. The screws were uneven, and the installed fixture finish was subpar. The pricing was also unclear, even after a previous discussion. The contractor repeatedly requested additional fees, such as for installing a slightly larger fixture, despite our prior agreement about the larger fixture. Extra extra charge for finishing edges of the fixtures. Contractor is correct that I negotiated extra charges from extra $100 to extra $60 but we already discussed that the new fixture was one inch larger. He agreed that he will handle the larger fixture and quoted the price. But in reality the pricing was not transparent and trustworthy, I was not sure where it will end. I recommend having a clear discussion about the scope of the work and pricing. I ended up hiring a handyman later to fix the bulging screws and finish the fixture properly.

Carlos was great to work with. He built a wheelchair ramp for my disabled father. The job had some logistical issues because of physical obstacles on the property, but he was patient and worked through them with me. We even had to change the plan a couple times, but that didn't bother him. He was always willing to make it work and professional throughout. What I appreciate most is he is honest, trustworthy and had fair pricing.
RAVE!!!❤️❤️❤️ My deck was rotting underneath the composite… Continually and steadily for several years. I finally found a reputable company to do the job. I’ve looked for no less than three years for someone to fix my deck. Did not find anyone… Could not find anyone who could do the job or even come over to give me a quote. Sorry, but there is a lot of flakiness in the SLV. So I had to go to San Jose to find this guy… I looked on Thumbtack. he had some good reviews and he is a great communicator… We communicated for two weeks, and he even looked at the deck when I was not home… And we did not even meet until the day he started work! Usually that is weird, but he was such an excellent communicator that I was in constant contact with him on the phone and through text… We share pictures back and forth of the deck. I told him I needed to do it in the most cost-effective way… it was either go on a little vacation at the end of this year, or spend whatever vacation money I had to fix this deck. Sadly, I will not be going on vacation, but this was money well spent, and I can enjoy my home again! I wanted him to stay within budget and I didn’t have a huge one… And I told him I wanted to save as much of the deck and reuse it as much as possible… He was able to reuse absolutely all of the composite that was the top layer on the deck. Underneath it was rotting. He didn’t pressure me to buy all new materials… He even let me get the materials myself and have them delivered from Home Depot… So no markup on the materials. The only cost was labor. Anyways, here are the before, during, and after photos and his business card. I highly recommend him if you cannot find anyone in the valley.
My house had a sewage leak that to fix required I remove a foundational box that housed the plumbing to my laundry room. I needed to hire a contractor that could handle the carpentry fix, but also the plumbing expertise to properly reroute the water/gas/drain all within the laundry wall, no more box housing. Carlos and Isreal did it in a timely, professional manner. The finished job was well done and highlights their skillset. They work well together. Hire them with confidence. I highly recommend First Strike and will certainly consider them for upcoming projects.
