After the start of a floor nightmare with a different installer...Mark came and Saved the Day! We originally hired Mark to install Vinyl Plank for our first floor but was so pleased with his work, we hired him for the second floor installation as well. Mark did everything he said and some. Arrived on time each day as planned. Moved at a timely pace and stayed busy with the task at hand. Mark is a pleasant person and very easy to talk to. Were so happy with our floors we plan to hire Mark for a future backsplash project. If you want a knowledgeable, friendly, fair priced, do what they say contractor...hire Mark! You won’t go wrong!

Mark was AMAZING! He came to our rescue after we had another contractor (whom we found through Thumbtack) take off with $8,000 without completing the job.. He was easy to communicate with... He knew we were very eager to get our floors done and so he brought in another guy to help him bust out the project....he did an amazing job with our hardwood flooring.... GO WITH MARK! I hired Mark to install engineered hardwood (glue down) in my new home. He was awesome from the start! He's very personable and reliable which I really appreciate. My job didn't start right after he gave me his bid but he stayed in touch and checked in with me frequently. He even took a look at the hardwood I was wanting to purchase to help me make a solid decision. I would definitely hire Mark again and I would happily refer him to anyone. I put him up against a time crush and he delivered. Great work ethic!
I cannot say enough about the service Mark performed for me. First, his communication in advance of the job is excellent. He experienced an issue with the preceding job and needed to delay mine by a day and called far in advance to discuss with me. Regarding his work. Mark tends to be a perfectionist willing to do the job right and not worry about the time. A couple of times he did not like how something was going and would stop and consider other options before restarting his work. He is very professional: careful so as to not make too much of a mess and is cautious to avoid causing damage. He recommended a non-standard grout (Power Grout) even though it is a bit harder to work with because it offered significant benefits (i.e. non-staining, never needs sealing) Both his estimate of time and cost were perfect-in fact, the actual cost was slightly below the estimate. I have additional tile work I want done next year and will be hiring Mark again. I completely recommend Mark Hester!!!
