The technician called me and he was complaining about the distance, and he started talking to me about cutting the sheetrock and doing all kinds of work before even getting there. So I asked him not to go. Even though they told me the examination is free, he started asking for $150, which I think is not right. I don't mind paying the fee from the beginning if they had told me. But I feel like the technician didn't want to go and was just trying to take advantage of a situation, and he was suggesting solutions before even getting there.

Initially, the original technician, Joe, visited to assess the job and provide an estimate. I informed him that I require the installation of four sink faucets, which I had already purchased. He proceeded to examine the bathroom and subsequently quoted me nearly $1,000 for the installation of four sink faucets, despite the fact that I had already purchased them. It is important to note that this estimate only pertains to the faucets. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the price, he then re-quoted it to a lower but still unreasonable amount of $351. At that point, I recognized that this was clearly a scam. He appears to be attempting to secure a quick profit, and I declined the job entirely.
