Everything was great before and during the move. Only issue I had was a travel charge that was never mentioned until movers had brought a few boxes into my place. Kind of a tough place to put a customer in. All charges should be discussed prior to anyone coming out and doing a job.
Put in writing what is covered in contract. Damaged my television and did not cover any costs.
Inquired about hiring movers from a 3rd floor apartment to another 3rd floor unit across the street less than a mile away. I was denied services stating they don’t do 3rd floor moves. I don’t understand how a company that wants to be in a PAID moving service business but not denying potential customers due to the the level they’re moving. Guess they couldn’t “GET It Home” for me lol
I contacted them 12/18 for a 12/30 move. Received confirmation within minutes. No deposit required. Travis came in and told me what to expect and they were quick, efficient, and affordable. My move didn’t take the full two hour minimum and they didn’t try to milk the clock to get paid more. I will request them for all my future needs. Thank you for making this a smooth transition.
They slid in about 45 minutes late but otherwise things went smooth. 3 movers were able to get me done in 2 hours and Marla was responsive when contacted.
First of all, it took FIVE HOURS for them to move a small one bedroom apartment to a storage unit. Secondly, several items were broken, and many other items were damaged. This was the most traumatizing moving experience I have ever had…and I move every year normally.
The 3 guys are very strong for their size. They moved an extremely heavy antique walnut highboy chest up and down a flight of narrow stairs without a scratch. The owner, Marla, takes care of her customers. This is the second time I have used this company and I would use them again.
Marla, worked with me for a rapid move, multiple stops. Crews showed up got to work, disassembled, wrapped,loaded items. Care was taken for all items. Crews were friendly, easy going, and hard working. Travis and Shawn were meticulous and energetic the whole time. I would recommend Get It Home, LLC and would certainly use their services again!
The movers were very friendly and efficient. However, a table lamp was broken in the midst of the move. The company was willing to give me a partial refund based on the weight of lamp but from the discussion with (the owner?) it wouldn’t have been worth the hassle for me. Additionally, I was quoted for $299 for a winter move special but a “tax” was added at the time of the move that made it to 329. It would be nice if the company told me at the very beginning about the tax rather than while the movers were moving my belongings. I would not hire this company again.
