About Getting Artsy
Getting Artsy is about making art a creative and deep learning experience to students of all ages and levels. Art is the best form of expression and builds self esteem. Having started art from the age of 6, it’s an endless journey that I feel so drawn to. I have more than ten years of teaching experience both kids and adults of all ages. Professional yet easy going so students don’t feel the pressure or get overwhelmed, instead I help them explore different kinds of art and unlock their true style and potential. I work along the individual interests and will customize lessons based on their level. Everybody has their own style in art and I help them find ways to do it in a style they love. I teach acrylic, watercolor, oil, graphite and drawing/sketching. I teach skills to enhance an artwork and techniques that bring a painting to life. A trial session can be scheduled before signing up for classes. I have worked in most art schools and studios in the Bay Area and collaborated with artists. I also tutor high school students with AP Art and help them with their school assignments and projects. I have tutored high school students from Quarry Lane, Athenian, Monte Vista High and other schools in the Bay Area. I host paint parties, group classes and family/office events. I also work on art commissions and portraits. I have worked with brands and companies such as Cuyana, Cri-Sf, Planet, Stratford etc.

Daisy spent several phone calls discussing options for making a comic book documenting a birthday party for a 94 year old's birthday party. Friends loved chatting with her as she sketched. She took pictures and wrote names down so she could color and write names and captions at home. Daisy is an excellent artist and the book will be a very cherished keepsake. Connie
I reached out to Daisy to learn acrylic painting, a type I have not attempted before. Since it was a new medium I wanted to learn it better for the first time. Daisy is a great art teacher and an artist herself! She helped me get back on my feet as I’m picking up my brushes after many years. She is quite patient and helps us understand how to do better. I had a lot of fun painting alongside Daisy.
So happy I found Daisy and Getting Artsy! We had an anniversary event and wanted an artist to paint on our leather bags and accessories for our guests. Sindu was incredible in her teaching of the painting with 15 kids she did great Donne ting with each kid and even gave them suggestions for an alternative painting! She was on time and prepared everyone loved their master pieces!

I booked. Session for me and my granddaughter to learn more techniques for using water color. The time flew by while Sindu taught us technique and showed us how to approach our project. She observed our work and offered great guidance and direction. Highly recommend Sindu!

My son was extremely excited for his first private season and after, was blown away by what he did. Just having 1 session did so much for him in understanding drawing and how to put thoughts/picture to paper. The drawings he did during his session were by far the best I had ever seen him do. Sindu was great with my 7 yr old daughter. We were looking for someone who could come to our home for private art lessons and I was very happy. Sindu brought all the supplies, was very patient and my daughter really enjoyed. We plan to continue lessons and would recommend her to others.
Getting Artsy is so much fun! It’s not a convention art class but it provides all that you get from a class and more. Each session is full with different mediums (watercolor, oil pastels, painting, sketching,etc) of various subjects (avocado, flowers, birds, etc). I am a beginner drawer and still learning to sketch properly but with Getting Artsy, she is patient and kind. Gives very valuable constructive criticism and helps you enjoy drawing. It’s such a safe place and it’s my favorite time of the week!! Attached are some photos of my avocados (this was my favorite thing to draw and color using oil pastels). If you’re a beginner, I definitely recommend trying Getting Artsy - so very worth it!
Although I had to cancel my paint party due to some unexpected circumstances, I still wanted to share how great my experience with Sindhu was. Right from the start, she was super helpful, easy to work with, and really patient—she helped me plan what would’ve been a great event. She was also very flexible with scheduling and had lots of creative ideas. What really stood out to me was how kind and understanding she was when I had to cancel. She handled it all with professionalism and grace. I’d definitely recommend Sindhu, and I’m really hoping to rebook with her sometime soon!
