Gilson was great. Came on time, was professional. My ceilings look great. But Gilson was a master at dust control and clean up. There wasn’t a speck of dust when he was done each room.

Reviews
Excellent experience with Gilson—his plastering and ceiling work were top-notch. Very professional, efficient, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Gilson is a true 5 star hire. He responded quickly, showed up at my house the next day to review the project and gave a very good quote. We agreed to move fwd and he showed up exactly on time the 2 days he was here working. He was clean, respectful, and the walls and ceiling he finished are incredible. Smooth with basically zero imperfection, and with details in certain sections executed exactly as discussed. I’ve already recommended him to a friend, and he already finished that job too! Will 100% be calling Gilson back for my next drywall and plastering project, and would highly recommend him to anyone else looking for a true pro’s pro.
Gilson did an amazing job removing my popcorn ceiling! In addition, he pointed out some damage to the ceiling that was hidden behind the popcorn and was able patch it to make it look like new. Very reasonable prices and very professional, on time!
Gioso was prompt, pleasant, and addressed issues as they came up. High quality work
Excellent job with a reasonable price
GF plastering, Did a great job of replacing a portion of my ceiling in the living room that was warped because of a leak coming from the 2nd floor bathroom. They were willing to collaborate with me on the cost of the job, and provided a detailed explanation of what work would be done to fix the ceiling. I would recommend them in the future.
Beautiful, professional work. Very fair, hard working & cleaned up floors, walls when finished. I will definitely hire again!
Working with Gilson was a pleasure. This was my first time using Thumbtack, so I was new to the experience. Gilson was quick to reach out to me via the app and coordinate to come by and provide a courtesy quote. I had some water damage in a ceiling and walls of a bedroom due to a roof leak, so there was some ceiling repair work as well as wall repairs to be done. The ceiling in the room was a textured ceiling, and I was hoping to remove that as part of the service. In addition to the work scope of the bedroom, I asked to also have some edging issues and touch up work done on the living room ceiling as part of the scope of the service. Gilson provided a quote within the app within a day. ( this would be a two day job) I had some delays with the required roof repairs before I could coordinate with Gilson for the interior work, and he was patient, responsive, and accommodating to my schedule. Prior to the scheduled work day- he confirmed his arrival time and he was spot on. I thought I had done a sufficient job with laying some tarps down, but he went the extra mile with laying and taping protective paper and drop cloths. Upon opening the ceiling, he hit a snag when the upper part of the roof / ceiling was still wet from the prior damage and he immediately advised me that it would need to dry before he was able to continue with the ceiling work. I appreciated his honesty, and he moved onto the wall work while added fans, etc to the room. On the next day, we ensured that the upper ceiling had dried, and he was able to continue on. In the meantime, he was also going to do edging repair on the living room ceiling. Once again, he was thoughtful and helped me move a few things, and laid and taped paper as well as plastic sheeting in doorways. He removed all the texture from the ceiling, replaced the insulation in the affected area, scraped and patched the damaged areas, and repaired the living room as requested. He even patched up some other issues. We elected to paint by ourselves, but had the budget been there - I would have requested this as well! If you need his services I would say - Gilson was- timely, communicative, responsive, honest , great pricing and just an overall nice , honest person to do business with. As a side note, I did have two other non Thumbtack individuals to review this service request, and I am glad that i ended up with Gilson.
Efficient. Reasonably priced. Good quality work. Highly recommended.
We needed a quick turnaround on several large and small holes following some water damage and other renovations. The job was done in a week from 1st contact. He was super friendly and the work speaks for itself. Excellent job. The textured ceiling matches perfectly. Will hire again for any drywall and plastering in the future.
Gilson has now completed two projects for us - our upstairs bathroom and kitchen after removing tile and old wall paneling. The walls were a mess before he started and now they look great and are ready for painting. Gilson was respectful, on time and mindful of taking time to lay down material to avoid a mess. We would use gilson again for any future plastering project.
This is the second time we have hired Gilson to do a ceiling in our house. He was fantastic both times. I would highly recommend him. He was Eden great with my dog! We will definitely be hiring him again in the future. He’s both reasonable and professional. You won’t regret hiring him.
Gilson helped repair my ceiling and wall after some water damage from the upstairs unit. He was responsive, on time and did great quality work. Highly recommend for plastering
He does very good work and is flexible to changes as damage is assessed. Courteous and professional.
We hired Gilson to skim coat our ceilings with plaster to cover the popcorn finish that was popular years ago. His reviews were great, so we took a chance, hoping he would do a good job. He certainly did not disappoint, and exceeded all expectations. He arrived early, was very easy to work with, takes tremendous pride in his work, did an absolutely flawless job, covered everything, and did a thorough job cleaning up when done. I could not have been more pleased! The ceilings are flat, smooth, and the transition to the walls are super straight. I would hire him again in a second! If you’re looking for a plaster at a fair price, Gilson is your guy!
Exceeded expectations- work completed within one day of quote and on a weekend no less. Finished work result was very good.
He did an amazing job..very professional looking forward to working with him again in the near future
Gilson did an amazing job removing popcorn ceiling and repairing drywall at my home. He offered advice on other improvements that really made a positive impact on the finished outcome. He was easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone!
Dilson was phenomenal to work with! He was on time, the patch work looks amazing, he was friendly, and cleaned up after he was finished. He ran a runner though our house so he wouldn’t track anything in from outside. And he also mentioned that there was another spot in the room that needed to be patched, and completely both without any hesitation. I would recommend him to anyone that needs plaster, patching, or sheet rock work. I am very happy with his service! Thank you Dilson!
