Beside the guys that gets the work done nicely every else with Gustavo is a waiting game. Gustavo promises you the world and more when meeting him but when it comes to getting the works done it almost feels like he’s doing you a favor. He is never on time, he always has something going to why he didn’t come or show up when he says he would. Before deciding to hire him he said it would of taking him 2 weeks to finish it’s been 3 months and still not fully finished even though we’ve had a few rainy days but when it was nice he had only 1 or 2 men working who were very nice. Gustavo himself was a very nice guy just lack a business man quality. He is not a very punctual person. I’m very happy with the guys that did the work but disappointed with how Gustavo does business. If your ok with your project taking long to get done I would recommend him because I am happy with the project but if you want someone who is honest and punctual then this is not the company you want to work with. And I was looking into the reviews it says like a lot of clients complains about the same thing.

Made appt for GLM to come to house for estimate. He was a little late but not horrible. Never heard back about estimate. Haven’t heard anything in a week. We went with another contractor.

VERY HAPPY with the work GLM HOME SERVICES CORP did in my house. They came on short notice and completed the job in two days. Each day after they left, the house was left clean. They were on time and worked the whole time they were here. I felt like I got my moneys worth and some. The place looks amazing. I would definitely recommend them for any paint job you need done. Here are some before and after pictures.

Exceeded expectations

I had a closet that needed to be expanded to fit a new electrical panel. Gustavo and his team did a great job customizing and installing a new door as well as patching up all the cracks and breaks. The price was more than fair for the quality of work. He was always quick to reply to my messages and kept in me the loop every step of the way. I definitely recommend GLM for your next project!

The communication started over text explaining we wanted new flooring put in our basement along with holes/patch work cut out and replaced with new. Being told a few guys were coming out made us under the impression that work would be started that day. We were told they would get here between 8-9am. We received a text that they would get here by 9:20am, which is understandable since they are coming from the Boston area. Around 10am we received communication that the truck broke down which seems to be a theme after looking at the reviews. I called and asked what the ETA would be and Gustavo told me 35 minutes. I was confused because if they had to go back to the Boston area and then to my home it would be longer than 35 minutes. He said there was a job the next town over and that truck was going to pick up the guys who were coming to my home. He said he was on his way to pick them up at that job site and bring them to my home. I could tell he was not in a car, but more so in an office or home. After 11am only Gustavo showed up. We already cleared out our basement and were under the expectation work would get started. I showed him the holes in the wall and patch work we wanted cut out and replaced with new drywall along with the hole in our kitchen ceiling. I showed him the basement and went over the work we discussed over text. He said the basement would be a 2 day job and he wouldn't know any information on what would be needed until tomorrow when they came out to start the work. I did not understand the purpose of this visit so I asked if he could take measurements so we could order what was needed since we will not be around all day. He was at my house for about 10 minutes then told me he was going to take a lunch and come back. When they came out the next day to start the work, 2 workers arrived without Gustavo. As this is the beginning of the project and the owner, whom I discussed everything with the day before, wasn't with them I wanted to confirm the work that was suppose to happen that day. Both men did not speak English so I was not able to communicate with them. It would have been nice to be given a heads up that he wouldn't be arriving with them and if there were any questions to call him, but I was not given that. The workers lazily worked until the boss showed up (common theme). We had to leave because we had plans and were not told it would be a 2 day job until the day before we were expected to leave. While we were gone we received a notification that our security camera was offline. We watched the last clip back to make sure it was done because it was in the way of their work, but one of the workers unplugged the camera in a suspicious manner. He backed up to the camera and leaned over to unplug it. I called Gustavo and asked why the camera was unplugged because the men were not working when they unplugged it, just standing around talking. He told me it was so they could rip the carpeting out. I told him the carpeting was already ripped up so that was incorrect. He became very defensive and rude when I was trying to express my concern to the way the camera was unplugged explaining if the men were working when it happened and we saw that this phone call would not happen. I was told the basement floor would be ripped up along with the drywall and sheetrock being replaced. They did not replace the drywall, instead they put either too much compound or not enough. They left compound on my carpet which I didn't see until a few days later when I arrived home. They also forgot the sheetrock for the ceiling which I was told was in the truck. They kept forgetting the drywall and sheetrock and I had to keep asking about it. It took a few days to get that work done. I was told the drywall was done and after looking at it, you could see the seam where the old and new meet. I had to tell this to Gustavo and ask again to have it fixed along with other things that were forgotten. The way my house was treated was unacceptable. I have a closet directly under my basement stairs. When they were ripping up the stairs they did not put something over my items in my closet or ask me to. I did not know this until after the work was done and I had debris and sawdust over every item in my closet along with nails all over the floor. I have items in there that have now been destroyed because of this. They knew my closet was exposed to the stairs because they worked in the closet while doing the floor. They also would've seen it when they took the stairs out. They left compound on my carpeting, trash in my basement, wet rags on my brand new flooring, trash in my driveway, threw all of the construction materials no longer needed all over the place next to my garage, paint on my stairs. Gustavo came back to paint the risers on my stairs and was suppose to put a coating on the steps. He told me because the steps weren't dry in the middle of the wood, he could only paint and it would be 2 weeks before the stairs could be coated. When I asked how he knew this he said its because he was a professional. We were now on day 6 of a 2 day job and I told him I will do that part. I was constantly being told that certain things couldn't be done and they would need to come back. He did not properly tape down the steps and I have paint all over my brand new stairs. He spilled paint on a few steps and I have big white spots on the steps from where he tried to clean it up. They also did not take all the nails out from the old carpeting that was on the stairs. I have nails sticking out which is a safety concern along with the old carpeting stuck to others. Because of his unprofessional work I have to spend my own time and money to buy supplies to clean up the paint on my stairs and carefully get the paint up off my stairs, nails and carpet out of the risers and repaint the risers because it was done horribly. Things that should've been done already. He also asks for payment every few days of work through Venmo. The reason I was given was because he needed it to pay his workers. It seems concerning that a business owner can not pay his workers unless the consumer pays him first. I was hesitant on paying because the job wasn't done and I was afraid they would either not come back or work lazily since they got a good amount of money. It seems like as soon as he got his big payment they lazily did the minimal work that wouldn't get him that much money. If you plan on hiring this company, I recommend getting a quote and signing a contract along with watching everything that is done. Do not agree to paying by the hour because some of the guys didn't do much which in my opinion slowed the work down. There is no need to have 3 men working on a set of stairs where there's only room for 1 person. Even though I work from home I could not keep an eye on the work that was done. I would only be able to see it after the fact, but out of fear of them not completing the work or retaliation I decided to wait until after the job was done to express my concerns. When I advised this information to Gustavo via text, his response was very unprofessional to the criticism from the work he and his men have done. He insinuated I was racist because I was frustrated the men didn't speak English. I explained my frustration of not being able to communicate with the men in my home, which he should understand as a business owner. The consumer is going to have questions and when you are not made aware that the men representing your company can not communicate back, there will be a level of frustration. I explained it was one time and going forward I would call him with my questions then put him on speaker phone to relay the message. I reached out to him the next day after taking the tape off the stairs and explained I have paint on almost every step due to the way he taped the stairs and have a big white smudges on my steps. I have not heard back and doubt I will because I have refused to pay him for any more services due to the way my house was treated and the kind of work that was done. I expected a level of professionalism and courteousness that I guess was too high for this company while working on my house. To respond to what you replied with: 1. The master carpenter worked his butt off and I said that to you. The helper didnt and I understand he needs to learn, but to just follow someone around the entire time does not seem productive. He could've done the drywall/sheetrock work Day 2 and then went down to learn the flooring, but that didnt happen. I have a hard time paying for someone who was on his phone most of the time. 2. I told you I would bring everything to the dump, but I didnt expect a safety issue with the materials. Pieces of wood were left with the nail side up next to the side door. We use that side door a lot, but with the nails everywhere we couldnt. The fact that you cant see thats a safety concern and how they threw everything over there is worrisome. 3. I didnt cause trouble, your men were acting suspicious in my home from the beginning which you werent there. The camera was not unplugged for 3 seconds because we waited to watch the clip back which took time to load. Then we called our son who was at home and told him to plug it back in. You werent at my home when this happened because you were at Home Depot. 4. The photos I took of the stairs are your work, I took the pictures the day you left and the next day when I took off the tape. I didnt paint the risers, you did. When I reached out asking how you were going to correct these mistakes you ignored me. Also, the debris all over my items in the closet arent normal dust. You can tell its debris from the work done on the stairs which I did not do, your company did. You can also see the broken pieces of wood that were wedged in the stairs all over the items. I didnt think I needed before pictures of my closet but normal use of stairs isnt going to cause pieces of wood, sawdust and nails.

Good afternoon. I reached out to GLM Services to fix the bed in my fiancée’s bedroom. They were very punctual and consistent. He responded to all of my messages and was on-site at the time he proposed They also did a great job in explaining the cost associated to the job and time it would take to complete the job. I’m very proud of the work done and highly recommend GLM for any and all services. Thank you so much and we appreciate your work!!

We have a few mirrors to hang, plus a little bit of other work. The handyman did an awesome job. We have a square hole in the basement ceiling to route the Randon remediation pipe out. The handyman patched it up seamlessly and the ceiling looks brand-new! Now we don't have worry about cold air blowing in in winter. Awesome job!

I hired GLM install a new door in my house and I was very impressed by their work. They were punctual, courteous, and efficient. They did a flawless job and cleaned up after themselves. The door looks great and was installed perfectly in the existing frame. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a contractor. I will definitely use his services again in the future!

We needed to replace a back entry door. After placing my info for review Gustavo, the owner was quick to reply and provide an estimate the very next day. We setup a day and time for the replacement door to be installed for Friday with an 8a.m. arrival. Around 8:30 I received a call from Gustavo informing his crew was running behind and would be there at 9:30. I get it things happen and we appreciated the courtesy call. Crew should up before 9:30 and did a great job doing the work and cleaning up. Will hire again!

Gustavo and his team did many projects for me that transformed my spec / builder grade into a custom home. From built ins, to the stairs, kitchen with built in microwave in existing island, replacing patio doors with French doors and few other jobs that make the house our home. We’re truly satisfied with the quality of the work and overall experience with GLM. We’ve already planned our next projects with them as they provide amazing work at a reasonable price… not trying to hustle you! Looking forward to our next projects with them. Beleza!!

Good value for the work ($85/hour). This company overall does decent work, but unfortunately I can't recommend if you need a reliable contractor. There were minor issues with the job completed and I hired the contractor again for 2+ hours of handyman work. However, the contractor failed to show up to fix the issue or do the handyman work at the agreed upon date and this required multiple rescheduled appointments. On the day they did show up, they were over an hour late forcing me to shuffle my entire morning to accommodate this late arrival. Furthermore, because they were running late, by the time they fixed the issue, they were running late for a different appointment and the 2+ hours of handyman work was not done at all; however, no acknowledgement or apologies were made. I'm not sure if this is standard behaviour for contractors, but I hear a lot of horror stories so I reckon my situation wasn't too bad. I will rate this experience as average until I can make a fair comparison. If the GC and his team can improve their punctuality and be more respectful of their clients' time, I'm sure they will get a lot a praise going forward, because again they do solid work and the GC, Gustavo is a decent guy. I am satisfied with the final result of the initial job.

I hired the GLM team for several projects recently which were all excellently done. The first was installation of crown moulding, which was incredibly well done and therefore led me to hire the team for a few more tasks as well. They then installed panels on my bedroom accent wall and built in shelving in my living room. They were punctual, thorough and paid close attention to all details. I definitely plan to use Gustavo’s team for future projects as well!

Gustavo and his electrician did a fantastic job installing recessed LED light crown moulding. Gustavo was professional, excited about doing the project, and as you can, see did great work. Took about five hours and his clean up was thorough. I'll be using GLM again.... And you should too.
